I should have mentioned this one. One of the best mindfucks ever presented on film. A buddy actually got pissed that I recommended it based on the ending. I laughed.

I watched The Savages last night and I liked it quite a bit. Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman are amazing. Also, Linney is gorgeous IMHO.
There Will Be Blood was good as well - caught it on the dish - excellent movie if you can stomach the absolute evil and selfishness of the main character. Well-played by Daniel Day Lewis - what a phenomenal actor.
 to both of these
Hmmm haven't heard of Miller's Crossing, I'll have to check it out. Saw the others though (by the sting i'm assuming you're referring to the newman/redford flick?)Originally posted by: blackdogdeek

Shawshank Redemption, it's a fine dramatic piece. I really liked it
Or if you want a comedy, you can't go wrong with Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Miller's Crossing is great. One of the underrepresented Coen Brothers flicks. Though it seems to be enjoying a resurgence lately.
Wonder if the same will happen for The Hudsucker Proxy?

Have you watched the other works of Park Chan-wook?
I prefer Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance to Oldboy and I like both more than the final installment, Lady Vengeance.
