Old Boy

I should have mentioned this one. One of the best mindfucks ever presented on film. A buddy actually got pissed that I recommended it based on the ending. I laughed.

Yep seen it

Have you watched the other works of Park Chan-wook?

I prefer Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance to Oldboy and I like both more than the final installment, Lady Vengeance.

I was also going to recommend these. I own the whole trilogy on DVD. All excellent. Oldboy > Mr. Vengeance > Lady Vengeance.

You might like Lija 4 ever if you're into depressing movies. It's in russian though.

Snatch
The Usual Suspects
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Across the Universe
Dogville <- Awesome flick with epic ending if you can stand the movie's presentation
Lucky Number Slevin
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
The Darjeeling Limited (I like Wes Anderson)
Ruang rak noi nid mahasan (Last Life in the Universe) <- Thai

And that's all for now, my pizza is done...

Hmm not a huge wes anderson fan, the humor is too offbeat for me. I'll take a look at dogville. i've seen the rest minus Across the Universe and the Thai one

Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are fucking hilarious. House of the Flying Daggers was very good also. I need to rewatch it sometime soon.

I've found that I've been watching a lot of foreign films as of late simply because I'm running out of American movies to watch.

Speaking of foreign films, I'm assuming you've seen Hero and Infernal Affairs right?

Yup, seen em both! However, I am always looking for new films. Any ideas?

I just finished watching The 13th Floor based on a recommendation in this thread. I thought it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised with the plot twist.

hmm... there's always oldies from asia like Farewell my concubine, raise the red lantern, red sorghum, Eat Drink Man Woman, Yi Yi...

I really liked The Wind that shakes the Barley, an irish film. You'll still need subtitles though, the irish accent is pretty thick

More recommendations, based on how many movies it seems like you've seen, you've probably watched the majority of these:
Bend It Like Beckham <- kind of a lighter movie, but Keira Knightly = win
Chicago <- if you like musicals. I made an ex-girlfriend watch it, she was entertained
Catch me if you Can <-DeCaprio and Tom Hanks ftw
Juno <- still hilarious after 5 viewings
Layer Cake <- Daniel Craig is awesome. He was a good choice for Bond
Pride & Prejudice <- Again, Keira Knightly = win
House of the Flying Daggers <- need to rewatch this soon. Get it in HD
Wicker Park <- watch it with a girlfriend. Good romance/mystery.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon <- you've probably seen this
Battle Royale <- best concept for a movie ever
Better Luck Tomorrow
Bound <- Decent flick by Wachowski brothers
Gattaca <- This is our future
Henry Fool & Fay Grim <- Weird, little know action/thriller. I thought they were both very good and rather hilarious.
Pretty Persuasion <- Evan Rachel Wood is good stuff
Ringu <- Japanese original of The Ring. I liked it better, though it is a little weird
Smokin' Aces <- was unexpectadly entertained by this
Saving Face
Trainspotting
Unbreakable <- one of the best comic book movies
Yeopgijeogin geunyeo (My Sassy Girl) <- Another Korean film, f'in hilarious
Eastern Promises
Hard Candy <- f'ed up movie
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang <- Same lead actor as Iron Man. Good stuff
Saibogujiman kwenchana (I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK) <- Korean movie. Insane chick thinks she's a cyborg. Pretty good.

Another vote for The Orphanage.

Among the bold, which ones do you recognize that are legitimately good. And Dog Day Afternoon is a movie that I NEED to see, can't believe I haven't gotten around to it.

Seen all of them. Wasn't really a fan of Bad Santa but the rest were great, especially TYFS!! Loved the movie although the book was a bit more interesting.
