Suggestion on what 80mm fans to get.

I need 5 - 80mm case fans. I don't care if their noisy. I just want some very powerful fans than can move some air to get my case temps lower. I want to replace the five thermaltake case fans that came with my case. My case temp is about 35C at idle in an air conditioned room. My processor runs about 60 at 100 percent cpu usage @ 2250mhz AMD 64 3200+. I would like them to have blue LED's as well.

For most no-compromise power, I would suggest the Vantec Tornado or the ThermalTake SmartFan II although neither of these has LED's.

With either of the fans a fan controller is an absolute MUST.

If your case is 35C and your cpu gets to 60C, I'd say you need to cool your cpu better before worrying about the case. 60C won't fuse your chip to your motherboard, but if you are worried about the heat, that's where you should start.

That Thermaltake 80mm fan does seem to cool well, but it is very loud at full speed. I am using it to cool a Prescott CPU, so I gotta keep it cranked up to full speed to keep that slow but very power hungry POS cool.

The case temp is 35 idle, and cpu is 60 at 100 percent cpu usage. When the cpu use is at 100 percent the case temp goes much high. At idle my cpu is at about 35 to 38 degrees. I have a good thermaltake fan with artic silver and I'm overclocked. IMO while the HS/F is trying to draw the heat from the cpu is has nowhere to go as it. If I could take the heat and remove it from the area around the cpu and get it out of the case I figure that it might do a better job. I have two fans in the front, two in the back, and one on top. When I put my hand over the exhaust side of these fans, they feel very weak. From the specs in the case manual it seems these are low output silent fans that draw 0.1 amps and I know these fans I'm looking at draw about 0.48 amps which are much more powerful.

Post a pic or diagram of what your case internals look like, and also tell us what kind of cooling you have set up. All the intake and exhaust in the world won't do squat if your airflow is utter crap.

cut out metal fan grills. they just make noise and cut flow. use fan controller.

I'm going to go ahead and blame your CPU's HSF for the crappy temps. That looks like a pair of front and rear-mounted Thermaltake SmartFans, as well as a dual-fan slot cooler. No way in hell net airflow should be an issue.

Try reseating the HSF, using proper silver compound or Type44.

Well I know its seated really good with artic silver 5. If anything is the problem it because the heatsink is just crappy quality. Its gots copper heatsink.

Well, what HSF are you using? Link to an mfr website or store if possible.

Your fan only puts out 27 cfm's. No wonder your chip gets hot when under load.
Change the fan on that heatsink to this: http://www.thermaltake.com/accessories/dcfan/smartfan/a1357.htm

At full speed (4800 rpms) that fan pumps out 75 cfm's. It sounds like a jet airplane, but you said you don't care about that, so there you go. And then you can always turn it down a little if you change your mind about the noise.

Heh I didn't even look at the pics or read MFH's post before. Just switch your HS fan with one of the smartfans you already have mounted on the back there. That oughta do it. As long as your fans are all pointed in the right direction, you seem to have more than adequate airflow.

The case fans are not the smartfans. The case fans are even weaker than the cpu so I can't use one of them. They only draw 0.10 amps and run a little higher than 2000 rpm. The cpu fan is drawing 0.13 amps running at 2636 rpm. The part# on the case fans are TT-8025A and says in the manual and on the fans that it draws 0.10 amps.

The suggested fan to use that I will get for my heatsink will run @ 4800rpm drawing 0.50 amps.
