I hope that people will remember to do this, and maybe MODS could make this thread sticky so that everybody gets the message.

Hmmm
2 things which need to be in the title

Store where the deal is going on.
If only 1 product/ type of products, name of manufacturer / type of products and price

Most threads already have this.... but not always:|

Just my contribution

Mohan.

And in the end, isn't that a hot deal?

Hey unclebud, I didn't know you were hot deals clairvoyant. :Q

This is actually a good idea. The only problem is that most people around here are not disciplined enough to folow through with this idea.

i agree that it's really hard to find something. let's say you want to search on a hard drive? what are possible thread titles?

going through the first i see:
250GB WD IDE HD
Seagate Barracuda 160GB 8mb cache
WARM: WD 80 GB Special Edition for $49.99 After MIR. MODEL # WD800JB
!DEAD?Maxtor 80Gb ATA/133 7200rpm 8MB cache $34.84
seagate barracuda plus 120gb 8mb cache $59.99 AMIR

so those are 5 posts. how many of them have "hard drive" in them? um, none. a whole 1 of them has the abbreviation "hd".
i guess if you search for a company name, then you would have to do a lot of searches. some people write WD (a lot of people do), some write western digital. maxtor and seagate are other names you have to search for.
i guess that's ok, cause there are only a few companies selling hard drives. but what about other things? video cards are a great example. so, in order to search for a good deal on video card, not only would you have to list all the companies that make them (pny, visiontek, ati, bfg, etc) but also the model name and number (cause people don't always put the other stuff). radeon 9800? what if people just put 9800? many would understand. but how would you find it? you'd have to search for 9800, 9700, 9600, etc.

I, for one, am with dpopiz. And I don't get why everyone here is so hostile toward a suggestion that we would all benefit from.

All of these wanna-be mods gotta get a life and let the real mods decide what to lock.

Fact is, there are a number of posts in this forum that are off-topic. For example, no one complains when someone posts a PayPal scam... Why? Because it benefits everyone. I think this guy has a good idea.

And if you don't like someone's "off topic" post, why don't you just skip over it instead of wasting your time reading it, then wasting more time flaming it. I never understood the whole "flaming" thing... If it's an improper post, the mods will take care of it. Get over yourself.

But that's just my opinion... I could be wrong.

IMO, Title Keywords are a GREAT idea!! Now, if someone could just standardize the keywords, it would save everyone a lot of time (and perhaps even cut down on the reposts that seem to get all the mod-wannabe's panties bunched-up).

I think this is a great idea. Screw the retarded 'this is not a hot deal' people. They are losers, and need lives.
