Suggestions for Building Out a Nice Budget 5.1 System

I am looking to start building out a nice 5.1 system over the next year or so. I am fairly set on starting out with a couple Pioneer SP-FS52s and a refurbished Denon AVR-1613 from accessories4less. I'd like to couple the floorstanders with a decent subwoofer. I am a medical student and don't have a lot of cash to spend, nor is this setup going into a huge room. I have been looking at the Dayton SUB-800/SUB-1000 and the Pioneer SW-8MK2 that matches the FS52s. I want to keep the price of the sub around $100, and get the best bang for my buck. Are these decent places to start? Any suggestions on other subs or speakers? Thanks.

What's your total budget?

Your receiver is spot on for your needs, it has binding posts across the board and MultiEQ room correction, but I would reallocate some of your other funds in the other areas.

If I could go back, I would not have bought floor standers. They look cool...but that's about it. My sub takes over below 120 hz anyway so I could have saved some money and just got bookshelves for the front. Not only that, you can buy better bookshelves than floorstanders per dollar spent.

How do you plan on mounting your surrounds? Do you have some sturdy shelves, a bookcase, or do you need to be able to just nail some surrounds to the walls?

Haha, you're right. It looks like I'm trying to build a newer version of your setup. I was just going to round out the Pioneer Andrew Jones set. I've read a lot of good things about them. I don't have enough cash or room to buy it all now, so I was going to start with the floorstanders and a sub, then add the center, then eventually the bookshelf surrounds. The only component I thought maybe I could do better with was the subwoofer. How do you like your setup? I don't have a clue what to do with the surrounds, I will be living in an apartment so any ideas would be great.
