I'm trying to organize an auction and need some ideas of what folks might be interested in.
Honestly it's for my son. On top of all his other issues, he's got PMG (polymicrogyria), we just learned today that he has to have hip surgery on both hips. He's going to be spending Christmas in the hospital or at the very least he's going to be just getting out and in cast from the waist down. From what they've described he's NOT going to be a happy camper.
So, knowing what our insurance has not covered in the past I'm expecting some nice bills very soon. That means Christmas is going to be veeeeeerrrrrryyyyyy slim for him and his older brother.
Sorry to babble on - long story short - I've been wanting to get an iPad to run Proloquo2go (communication application b/c he can't speak) on but funds have been tight and are now going to be non-existent.
So I thought maybe I could organize an auction or something. Does anyone have fund raising experience. Anyone got any suggestions or ideas? What might be some items or services that aren't too expensive you'd buy a cheap auction ticket for?
