Well, you have a choice between two brands: AMD and nVidia
AMD's top single card is the 290x, nVidia's is the GTX 780Ti, or arguably Titan Black. If you're looking to spend a little more, you have the AMD 295X (dual GPU) for $1500 and nVidia has the Titan Z for $3000.
If you go back to the main page and click on "bench", you can compare most of these cards.
CPU and resolution would also be nice. No point in buying a GPU that is bottle necked by your CPU. Not any point in buying a nice card if your gonna play @ 1024X768
Why not read GPU reviews on the front page of this website? Or any other website? I can think of a few websites that will guide your purchase. Guru3d, hardwarecanucks, pcper, this website, google for more. As opposed to asking an open ended questions that is impossible to answer because we don't know what you're looking for and for what system you're buying it for. All you have to do is read a few reviews and you'll be set. 780ti and 290X are the high end. All of the above have reviews you can view.
Seems like an easy problem to solve.
Now if i'm misunderstanding your question and you only want a BRAND recommendation, I don't know if that means AMD/nvidia or a specific brand of AIB. All in all your question is too open ended without information to give an appropriate answer, besides which, such an answer would essentially be hand holding. Which is fine. But we'd need way more information to do that. What i'd recommend is hitting up tons of reviews on some of the sites mentioned above. If you read through you'll see the merits of all the cards and will be able to easily guide your purchase.
