Hi Guys
First, a brief intro about a system that served me well over a decade on 4 Ghz overclock non stop. Pls bear with me.
In 2009, I built my first ever computer with i7 920 (d0 stepping) processor with Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard. Got 12 gig ram back then, basic graphic card (as I initially used the system only for chess software), overclocked it to 4 Ghz. Over a period of time, I upgraded to liquid cooling and added graphic cards. The system was working till yesterday morning and suddenly it wouldn't turn on. Did independent PSU test which was a success. When the 8pin ATX connectors are removed system turns on. Computer guy has informed me today that the motherboard is beyond repair and is dead.
Do not know much about technology, except wanting to have the latest. After building the system 10 years back, I forgot everything about computers and never kept watch on the developments.
BUILD -
For Games (not a pro gamer)
Budget of $1000
Country INDIA
Suggest parts, can locate in India on Amazon.
Not sure if AMD can deliver what Intel delivered, but back then AMD was still evolving.
About 4-5 months back bought Liquid Cooling for 1366 lga, not sure if that can support latest motherboards, need to check it's manual. MONITOR, GPU 1050 ti, KEYBOARD AND MOUSE CAN BE USED.
With a possibility of overclocking, yes!
Building within a month
Have genuine Windows 7 Ultimate, which I recently upgraded to Windows 10 pro for free (Can this be used on the new system, dumb question)
