going to check out Incubus on Sunday night... that's at DTE (pine knob) in Detroit......

AIC is coming to town in September... I'm going to try to check that out too.

Going to Tool on 8/2...it'll be the first time I've gotten to see them ever. I also plan on picking up AiC tickets and seeing them when they come through. I saw them when they opened for Velvet Revolver a couple of years back and they sounded absolutely great in person. I'd love to see them again.

I'm going to LOLLAPALOOZA all three days in a couple of weeks. Beastie Boys dropped out because I think Mike D has cancer. And they were replaced by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which are a terrible, terrible band and not worthy of a headlining spot. I'm not as excited for it as I was last year. TOOL really has me though...REALLY fucking stoked to see them.

Saw them in KC last year. They were terrible. Hope they play better when you see them. All they did for twenty minutes was say "When I say 'Hell Yeah!' you say 'Hell Yeah!'" It got kind of old.

the summer concert season annoys me because it tends to replace 1,000-person venues hosting 2-4 bands with 15,000-person venues hosting 4-20 bands. in any case...
