isnt it possible to PM to Sams Club where its $99.97?
This will be tough to do. Most retailers have never matched warehouse clubs for me. They've always told me that they'll only match direct competitors of theirs - but, not the clubs.

I don't think the WD 80 GB drive is an "SE" model, though. From what I recall when I visited my local BB store this past week, most of their WD drives are the 2 MB versions. The only "SE" drive that they had was the 200 MB model @ $399 - Yikes!

Here's a link to the 80 GB WD drive at the Best Buy Web site - Western Digital 80 GB Drive @ BB

I called up my BB today and they said they would PM to sams club now just time to wait for sunday....

It should be a $100 mail-in rebate.

I should also mention that before I purchased my Planar 191M LCD, I had the opportunity to use the RAD-9 which was set up at my local Micro-Center. The monitor was connected to a gaming PC. There were not any shooter games on the PC, but there were racing games (e.g. Nascar 2002.) I thought the monitor did quite a great job of handling the game which is why I was pumped up on getting an LCD monitor. The refresh rate might not be high enough for other faster games - but, if you only do a small amount of gaming, but use the PC for a lot of business applications, the Rad-9 is quite a good monitor - and at a wonderful price. Just 2 months ago, it was selling for $899.

Here's a very hot deal....

Staples has the PNY 512MB PC133 memory module "on special" for $99.98 after $50.00 - yes that's right, $149.98 *before* rebate....

Some at the other forums are getting a hard time from store managers (bogus, BS excuses), but I think Staples is going to have a pretty hard time refusing this pricematch.... :Q

CompUSA - PNY 512MB PC133 SDRAM memory module for $69.99

Staples - PNY 512MB PC133 SDRAM memory module for $149.98

Staples $50.00 mail-in rebate form (promotion 02-51022)

Does Sams Club have the WD 80GB 7200 listed on a flyer or some sort of add for 99.97 or is it just online only? BB will PM it if I bring in an ad.

Unfortunately, Sam's Club only has the drive listed on-line. I haven't seen a flyer where it was listed. However, you could buy a drive from Sam's and have BB price match it based on the receipt. This may be your best method to achieve this.

It's a good deal when you consider that you can make your purchase from a local retailer. However, with the new VIA KT400 boards and nForce2 boards making an appearance soon, I'd wait. Sure, you'll spend a few more $$, but you'll have a better setup.

KT400 board: $125
XP2000: $100
Total: $225

how can one watch inital d and NOT be a fan of hachiroku? yes afaik hachi is 8 and roku is 6
the 64mb is not a bad price (since people asked), however sam's has 128mb simpletech cf and sm for $49.95 w/o rebate. i personally have bought 64mb for $25 something recently (yes, lurkers! you didn't get them all! ), but those are ymmv b&m deals not worth mentioning
the wd hd @ sam's can be printed out thru click and pull. it says on the sidebar "you are looking at the deals for duddaduhdadduhduh" so satisfying proof of the deal shouldn't be a problem... will bb match warehouse club prices?
good info! i may go for that processor/mb combo... what's the minimum on the ps? tia!

I called the local Sams Club here and they didnt even carry the 80GB drive, and they said it wasnt listed in their flyer either. So I suspect its an online only thing, which means that BB wont PM it. The CSR at BB that I talked to said they would PM if I: brought in the ad or called Sams Club on my cell phone and had the BB CSR get a price check. They wouldnt accept anything printed from a website.

I see the Click and Pull now. I dont have a Sams Club membership so I can't go through that. Dagnabit and Tarnations, I was looking forward to a new harddrive.

Best Buy has this memory for $64.99. I don't see it at their website, but it was in today's circular, bottom of page 33, that came with the newspaper. PM it at Staples and get a $50 MIR. That's $15-$20(Taxes) for 512 MB of RAM!!!

I wouldn't consider it a good deal. Search www.pricewatch.com. I bought the same MB and an XP 1700+, shipped for $138 more than 2 months ago at PCSupplysouce.com:

1 MB6-MSI-B6380E5 BOX MSI KT3 ULTRA2/KT333/ATX/AUD/3DDR 1 81.00 0.00 81.00
2 ZCPU-KXP-O1700+ OEM AMD 1700+/266 FSB ATHLON XP CPU 1 58.00 0.00 58.00

It was the OEM CPU, but I preferred that since I didn't want the stock HSF.

I thought you could use a trial access to check Click 'n Pull out. Is that feature no longer available at the Sam's Club site?
