I'm a REVO guy for life. Had a pair that was 10 years old and still worked great. Their lenses are incredible, they actually make things sharper/brighter, great for driving or outdoor sports.

Maui Jim... Best lenses I've ever seen. And their customer service rocks too.

A few months ago my pair started developing cracks near the nose bridge. I took them into their main office here and they slapped in new lenses in about 15 minutes. No charge! I even told them they were five years old... Still free.

Thanks for all the suggestions fellas!

I'm really liking the Dash XP's from Native, with the polarized lenses right now.

Most of the other brands are nice, but something in me finds it hard to justify $200 for a pair of sunglasses. Being 17 and saving for a car might be that little problem.

I am also liking some of the Maui-Jim's, I will see what my optical insurance will cover if I get prescription lenses. I'd much prefer to go that route.

Pay attention to your face structure with respect to glasses. IE don't buy round glasses if you have a round face, don't buy square glasses if you've got a geometic/square face. If square get round, if round get square, etc. If oval pretty much anything will look good. Make sure they fit your character too, and the character you want to convey. Personally, I'd stay away from those with the mirror finish because the mirror finish is on the very top layer and thus they scratch easily; and it's easily noticeable.

Good way to tell if they fit is how much of the glasses are touching the tops of your cheeks and if they're riding your browline.

This place: http://www.thesunglassmanonline.com/
has pretty decent sunglasses prices and good knockoffs too.

I'd recommend going to the mall and trying on tons of sunglasses there, writing down your favorites, and going home to think about it and pricecheck around.

My dad had some eye procedure done, I think for a mild cataract or something, everyone told him Maui Jims too.

i dont care so much about the minute differences in quality across brands, but more on fit (style), apparent quality, etc...

where is the cheapest place to get a pair of maui jim's kahunas? I was wanting costa del mars with the green mirror, but I went to sunglass world at the nearby outlet mall and tried a few on and the didn't seem to fit as well as the kahunas.

I see eyesave.com has the for 195.

I have a pair of Electrics that I really like. Lost them due to drunken stupidity last 4th of July so I ordered another pair I liked them so much. I'll be more careful with these ones.

Electric Hi-Fi Black/Gray. I got them from SunglassesGiant.com. Good deal there and haven't had a problem either time ordering.

EDIT: Not sure why some of the reviews on backcountry.com say they're big. I specifically ordered them because they were for smaller/medium faces. They fit me perfectly.

I have a pair of those too! super dark and stylin too!

Maui Jim are just about the best damn sunglasses you can get.

One would have to pry my Maui Jims off my cold dead face before I would give them up.

Brands such as Oakley are nothing but over-priced inferior products.

I like Bolle, they are light, comfortable and cheap as sunglasses are often lost or broken.

Polarized is not for everyone. For some they are problematic (ATMs and certain video screens do not show).
