Bought em for 12 bucks at Kohls. I tend to lose and break sunglasses so I just wear cheap pairs

i got that pair off ebay, used, for less. i had 2 pair of Bolles before that, lost the last pair...bolles are nice for the price, you can get them for under $60, polarized and its good stuff. but i like my serengeti's more, and you can get a pair for $100 - $150

I used to have a nice polarized Ray Bans, but they broke after a year. I now use a $10 pair I bought at Walgreen's.

I have a pair of Revo's and a pair of Maui Jims. Both polarized. Love them both. The Revo's are a bit heavier than the Maui Jims, but I don't mind, I like a nice solid pair of shades. Love the glass lenses.

My Rayban classic Wayfarers and the Sun Clouds I really like and I've owned both for something like 15 years. Oakley is my most worn.

In my experience (i've owned Oakley Whiskers, Maui Jims, and currently have an Oakley Why 8.2), the oakleys have the same amount of clarity as Maui Jims but have a MUCH better fit for my face. The why's and whiskers hug my temples comfortably so there's zero risk of them falling off or even slipping during all but the most strenuous of activities. In fact, I went to Dorney Park today and rode all the coasters as well as a bunch of the water slides with my Why's on. I didn't even notice they were there. I CANNOT say that about Maui's... my pair always slipped even during normal head gestures.

I have a pair of Oakley X-metal XX, the screw fell out where the lens is held.. along with the little rubber ring.
tried to get the parts for it by calling oakley. They won't just sell them... I would have to mail my shades in for what they call a "tune-up" @ the cost of $65 bucks.
I love their shades, but their after service is very lacking imo. Can't even get replacement parts for anything besides the rubber pieces and lens.

I will be purchasing a pair of Raybans to replace these.

I have a pair of Ray-Ban Sidestreet Top Bar Square that I bought on eBay for about $100. Sunglass Hut wanted more than twice that price for the exact same pair.

Before that, I had a pair of polarized Arnettes that I bought for like $180 and I kept them for 9 years. $20 ain't too bad for nice shades!

Oakley Square Wire 2.0 and Half Jacket. Both silver w/ blue iridium lenses. One Military Issue Oakley SI M Frame Hybrid.

The Square Wire and Half Jacket were both $60 and the SI M Frame Hybrid was given to us.


If you have an outlet shopping center near you, you should be able to find a Sunglass Hut or even an Oakley or Ray-Ban outlet store with lower prices.


I thought polarized was used mainly for going out on the water on sunny, clear days.
