Question about my situation. I can't get High Speed internet at my house, so I have a location that I use a commercial grade wireless equipment there and on my house to get cable internet to my house. Latency is non-existant. Regardless, here is what my situation looks like now:
Cable Modem > Linksys Router > Wireless Radio to Wireless Radio > Switch
From the switch I have 3 or 4 computers plugged into the switch.
Now my question, is since the Cable modem and wireless router are not in my actual physical living location, where in the world would the Gizmo that Sunrocket gives you go? I talked to a tech support today and they said that you can't plug the gizmo into the switch and expect it to work. I was thinking something like this:
Cable Modem > Linksys Router > Wireless Radio to Wireless Radio > Sunrocket Gizmo > Switch
All of this linking together uses cat5 RJ45 cabling, except obviously from wireless radio to wireless radio. But from the wireless radio to my switch, is an ethernet cat5 RJ45 cable, into a little POE adapter, and then into the switch.
The Linksys router is set to DHCP while the wireless radio's keep a static IP address.
Everything has been working great (for computers) but I have no idea if SunRocket gizmo will work with my very unique situation. Any help?
