The customer service hangups appear to be system-wide. I've tried selecting all the options. Even the option for number ports (which I will cancel, if I can ever reach someone) rings through, puts on hold for 30-60 seconds, then...click.

SunRocket been down here since late last night. I have been able to get the VOIP light to go green for a minute or two but eventually the line returns to being dead.

This has been the first experience I have had in degrading service from SunRocket. I hope someone didn't fall asleep at the wheel! I don't mind an occasional hiccup but more than 12 hours of downtime is unacceptable in the communications industry.

More than likely SunRocket has oversold their capacity (due to the need for capital) and now all of us are going to experience the bad result.

I haven't seen anything online where you can get an SR status report. FWIW, service came back to life here in Central California around 4pm PST. Hopefully, it will stay up. Haven't tried to customer service again; will try that again later this evening.

Signed up and Problems with sound quality while downloading. Also, Caller ID shows "unknown caller" on the person you are calling. Too many competitors out there. I might have to rethink this one...

Their service was going down since yesterday afternoon .... and still no dial tone ... Fairfax, VA area ... I am start to think about switching ..... :thumbsdown:

all this downtime and issues are making me want to not choose sunrocket.

Per month with equipment and such how do the others rank for price?

I am in the 661 area code in South Central CA.

I set up my SR service on a SBC/ATT DSL line for the first time around 1:30 pm on 6/30.
I installed behind the router and it worked perfectly first try. I made numerous successfull test calls up until abouit 2:10 pm when I had to leave for an appointment. Upon returning
at about 4:30 p.m. I made a check call and everyhing was working fine. Interestingly
the people I test called said the voice quality from my end was clearer with SR that with
ATT DSL land line.

I was most surprised to read later that so many were without service on 6/30. Was it out
just during the period I was away?

I was on the phone late morning and mid-afternoon yesterday, early and late friday night, and mid-morning today
maybe it's regional?

I'm in area code 704, Charlotte NC. Everything's working fine now - maybe I'll reconsider changing, but certainly not if they have one more big outtage...

Before jumping ship, you might want to google "voip reviews". Most
of the alternatives including Vonnage don't look too rosey either.

Have you tried to reset your Gizmo. The other day we had no service and I just unplugged my Gizmo and waited for about 15 seconds and then plugged back in and voila...service was back.

i've had my SR service for a couple of days so far. it's working flawlessly, and the sound quality is on par with psot, if not better. i'm in the area (763) minnesota with comcast cable.

how long does it usually take to transfer your old number to sun rocket?

More voicemail issues for some reason -- now, its not sending emails when I get an email and not making the phone tone on/off when there's a voicemail.

Anyone else have this ?

no such issues with my acct. I assume with sending emails you mean voicmail to email, right? Works fine here. Have you changed something in your email acct. (i.e. spam filter, settings, etc.?)

Tone- are you referring to the stutter tone when VM awaits?

All - SR is about to unveil the long-awaited failover feature within the next 2 weeks. I don't have details but just know from highest engineering level that failover passed QA and is ready "for action."
