Last time these teams played on February 3 2002, we saw:

..and (lol)

…now its

I believe Goff was only 7 years old when Brady won his first Super Bowl. I actually have very little rooting interest in this game, but I am picking the Rams. Either case, I don't think this game will disappoint. Unlike last year's game, this one will likely see some defense being played, so that's a good thing.

Other than that, I am just waiting for Sunday!

I hate the Patriots because everyone around here worships them, so I guess Rams. They cheat anyways, so they just plain suck IMO.

And your opinion is just flat out wrong. They factually do not suck and are arguably the best team in the history of the NFL. How they stay competitive this long when the NFL is built on parity is damn impressive.

I hate the Patriots but will admit they are a good team. Belichick always mages to put together a good squad, it's not just Brady but he helps.

I've gotten to the point of just playing fantasy without even watching games anymore all season.... Probably won't even watch the SB this time around.

Yeah, and no one can really say that this run is fluke, either. They have been SB contenders since 2001. The 90s bulls weren't even competitive at this level for as long as the Pats are.

Yes, you can dislike the Pats, but please, calling them trash or saying they suck is really nonsense.

I guess I’ll root for the Rams, they didn’t steal the game the refs did (four of which were from SoCal....). Hey played a good game against the Saints but this super bowl definitely deserves an asterisks beside it.

If the Saints won it would have had asterisk next to it too because of the blatant missed facemask call on Goff, resulting in a (99% chance) of a 4 point swing.

EDIT:

Oh and the Redskins would have been in the playoffs and made a Super Bowl run if they called PI in the Texans game and set them up for a chip shot FG to win. So anyone else who wins deserves an asterisk because of the missed call.

Were they from SoCal when they missed the facemask on Goff? Or were all the refs from the Boston area when they called the phantom roughing on Brady?

I don't know why people dream up nonsensical conspiracy theories like this.

Let's embrace this. No NFL ref can officiate a game in which either team represents his or her hometown, or current residence.

Let's go nuclear with this shameless ignorance...

Sadly, this boy's parents allowed him to create a laughably bad science fair project, maybe they should have told him that every single university that looked at this said it was not correct. Oh, I also guess no one told him Brady played BETTER after the whopping 1/2 PSI was added to the balls during halftime vs the Colts.

From LA so of course want the Rams to win but Brady being Brady he is too damn experienced in this to make huge mistakes. Goff just doesn't have the experience to go toe to toe with Brady even with their great running game. Goff will have to make critical plays and it's his first Superbowl. Goff has an awesome future ahead but Brady will get this one barring anything crazy happening.

It will be interesting to see what Wade Phillips dials up, surely he's watched the last 2 teams do little blitzing and play zone against Brady with horrific results. I could not for the life of me understand how KC was letting Edeleman run from the slot without any contact at the LOS to disrupt his routes. Pats might also have problems with Brandon Cooks, he has the speed to burn, I was upset the Pats traded him away after last season ended. In a moment of stupidity LA CB Coleman says age has "taken a toll" on Brady, http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...l-robey-coleman-age-taken-toll-pats-tom-brady guess he didn't get the memo that every time someone has done this it's ended badly.

In another article (CBS I think), the parents stated: "Ace just really hates school. He is terrible at it. We thought this was at least one way to get him interested."

I mean...lol? Maybe? Look....this kid is kinda dumb. That's pretty plain here. He doesn't care about science and neither do his parents, but that isn't the point: they found a way to get him interested in doing work and finishing it. Either he chooses the dark path and learns that he "won" because he is brilliant and right, or grows up later and realizes that he was very dumb and there was no science involved. You can't deny, anyway, that this topic and method was far more relevant than making a fucking baking soda volcano. I mean, really? Always sad and pathetic, that one. Might as well enroll yourself in Devry before you even have a chance. (FTR: my project from 3rd grade and on was always hydroponics...won so many awards. Good to be judged by stoner Post-Docs and such....)

This guy is like...10 years old. Shitting on him at this point for his meaningless 5th grade science project is actually quite worse than shitting on those ultra-douchey MAGA kids in DC the other week.

Yea, I get you're point, even a flawed idea is better than ignoring the fair altogether, knowing Brady he'll probably send the kid tickets to the game.

I'm looking forward to the incredible playoff performances of the Pats O-line this year vs the theoretically dominating Rams D-line.

Yea, that's one of the keys to this game, the Pats have done well running in the playoff's the Rams will want to try and stop that to also kill the play-action Brady has done well with. If your the Pats you better have a plan B if they can stop that run.

is it safe to say the Rams are the loveable underdog this year?
Meh, on paper they have a lot of more talent than the Pats and at this point the Pats have become the "dark side", people are quite tired of seeing them there. Vegas made them 2.5 point favorites but that's because of Brady's penchant of playing well in big games more than team talent.
