I wouldn't say boring, I'd say the lack of interest is with the game.
Too many injuries, brain injuries, suicides, sad outcomes not worth the physical investment.
Whats the use of making and owning millions when you can hardly remember your name?
Only to end up in the city morgue before you reach 40.
No, obviously I'm not a fan.
And my nephew was a well know national player, and he chose to walk away.
College educated by playing ball, he quietly ended his career in professional football and went into business. And soon will be married.
His mother is and was his biggest fan and number one promoter. She could not understand why her famous son chose to quit? To simply walk away.
But I knew. I got it.
I am still shocked why his mother chose to put fame over future. And her own son?
His choosing to have a future worth living?

Now that he is engaged, his mother has been causing problems. Mainly on Facebook.
And apparently blames his fiancée for his leaving the sport of football.
There is THAT, and then I noticed a lot of empty seats in the stadium at Sundays game.
Was that sending a message?
I really hope so. For my nephews sake.
For all of their sake.

What is the players name?

BTW: Tom Brady is 41 and just won a Superbowl, he seems OK still but I'm sure he will begin to shows signs soon. That other Patriots player ended up in jail and committed suicide and had the worse CTE for a 27 year old.

I could had been a Ton Brady!

So, there I was in 6th grade. Wanted to play some elementary football! I was a quick runner. Fast as lightening. A young stallion! Thought my mom would be proud. I brought home my uni and she yells "you're not playing football!" She made me bring back my uniform! My football career was over before it even began.

To be honest, not all NFL players will suffer from CTE, specially QB's who don't endure the kinds of bone-jarring hit's running backs/linebackers/fullbacks/receivers do almost every play.

Yeah, I get the feeling that McVeigh had been sandbagging with Gurly's health over the last month or so, forcing teams to plan for an option that they won't really see. ...it kinda worked, I guess, because they squeaked out some ugly wins because they really don't seem to have much of a system beyond depending on a healthy Gurly to keep defenses guessing. It seems to have completely caught up with them because well, Belechick is just too smart for that crap.

Yeah, I think the Superbowl exposed the Rams a lot. No Gurly = less chance of winning. In fact, I heard some whispers that they don't believe Goff will be their QB beyond next season.

Now Jeff Fisher doesn't necessarily look like the QB killer we all think he his. Goff may be overrated a bit.

I enjoyed the game for what it was, commercials as a whole sucked. I was just really in some state of shock at the score (won 3 out of 4 quarters on our board, go me) and just how odd it was with (however you want to state it, being the Rams being entirely out coached or out played by the Patriots or some combination of the two) the lack of scores from both teams, Rams never even seeing the red zone, Gurely's disappearing act or how Rams O-line was voted best in the league yet probably played their worse game in the SB or how stacked their D-line was yet didn't show much for all of it.

The Patriots have an ethos of 'grinding' it out, particularly in practice. As a result, when they are in a game that 'isn’t going well', they apply that same logic and just grind it out without as many emotional ups and downs some teams. They trust their coaching staff and Brady to deliver if they just keep playing their position as they have been drilled. IMHO.

Actually, their d-line did have something to show for it, holding the Pats to 3/13 on 3rd down is no easy feat. Although Brady was only sacked once, he clearly had the "clock" running on every dropback and did not have much time for reads at all. If any team was to play the Pats in a SB and hold that offense to 13 points they would call that a huge success. As for the Pats defense, with a superb game plan in hand, they probably watched for 2 weeks all about the Ram's high-profile defense with 7 1st round picks manning it and felt like they were not respected and the Rams scoring offense, (1st in the NFL during regular season) was predicted to ravage them similar to what Foles did last year.

Yes, "parties" to boycott the Super Bowl because your team didn't make it is the most pussy shit in all of professional sports. Lamest shit ever.
Some people handle their team not making the Super Bowl with partying. Some do nothing and some lash out on the internet. Sorry you don't like the fun one of those options.

Yeah celebrate being tied for 3rd place. Sounds about right for the participation trophy generation.

Yes, the entire city of New Orleans is filled Millennial stereotypes. They party for everything, even funerals. It's a different culture than most of America.

Was this something that happens every year or just this year due to the frustration. I did want to see a Brady/Brees SB, I think it would have been epic.

I'm sure they had a parade and party and boycotted the Super Bowl last year after the Vikings owned them at the buzzer.

I'm 100% positive.

I didnt enjoy the game. Or the commercials, except the one with all the QB's. I understand good defense, and can appreciate it. Literally no drama in it other than the late FG miss by the Rams. Would have made it a 7 point game, and ended up differently. Championship games were far better. The refs did let them play for the most part, I feel like they were told to do that. I do feel like the Chiefs and Saints would have been a better enjoyable game. But, dont go off sides when your team gets a game winning INT and dont throw an INT in OT.

That is fucking pathetic. The Saints is the biggest baby fanbase in professional sports.

We may not agree on much, but we agree on this. I dont want to hear a damn thing from them.

Funny how in their SB win season, they dont talk about the blatant, low and late hit of Favre, that caused him to throw a int. A hit that would be later fined, and the ref apologizing for missing. This was during the bountygate time too. Making the call would have given the Vikings a first down, in FG range late in the game. A game that went to OT, and the Vikings lost. None of these cry baby Aints fans want to talk about replaying that game at the time. How about putting an * on that win like they want to do of the Rams. Of how they got the benefit of many missed calls in the Rams game. The fact is, the Saints had the ball on the 40 in OT with a first down. They threw a INT. They lost the game, get over it, and stop playing the damn victim.

Mostly due to the frustration. Better to have a big party and move on than sit and stew over something that can't be changed. Like I said above, it was turning into whining, so I'm glad everyone got it out of their systems. Maybe Brees can focus on not throwing interceptions at the very worst possible moment, because this seems to happen a little too often.
