sorry for the lack of posts... am waiting word from my reseller, he promised to have them some prices for me today.

The carriers i think are easy to get... the PPM or (VRM) is another story....

i think the only way you could order another one is if your present one failed...

plus there are two different kind..there are the regular ppm's and the redundancy kind...

i'll keep you guys posted..

I think i've found some on the web..but they are 200-300$....

Well, I just got "lucky" on e*bay and bought a new-in-box
PIII 933Mhz Compaq processor option kit for the ML350 for $400.
Not THAT much more than a new standard Intel-issue 933Mhz slot 1
processor would cost by itself...So I have solved the VRM issue
(I hope). (Now I have to decide whether to buy another PIII 933
now or else go a cheaper processor route and sell the 933!)

Still need drive sleds though, so let me know about those!

Over on T*chbargains.com, there's a blurb about a company,
Datastor, that makes replacement drive carriers for the ML350.
These apparently cost $190.95 at Buy.com!!!!

Un-frigging-believable. $190.95 for a drive carrier. NOT a hard
drive and carrier. Just the carrier. There's nothing real
complicated or expensive about the carrier, either.

Just a company trying to gouge the customer. When Compaq
charges an arm and a leg, at least you can argue that they
providing a substantial warranty on the box (3 years on site)
and that the Compaq parts you install adopt this warranty.
(They also offer a pre-fail warranty, which means you can
get service when you "think" a part is going to fail "soon&quot.
These Datastor carriers grant you none of that.
