Well, ordered one via CSR and also picked one up B&M. Total storage space will be 283 Gigs. Just what I needed, or at least what I told the wife. We shall see. OOS Wisconsin wide as of yesterday.

I went to the Office Depot in Dublin, CA, and the manager was a total harda*s and he wouldn't let me use the $20 off $75 coupon code, period. He told me it was "online only" and other BS. So I asked him if I could use a computer in the store (!!) and he let me so I found a truly printable $10 off $50 coupon and he had no choice but to give me $10 off. Not as good as $20 off, but I still made that f*cker of a manager give me some kind of discount. Ahhhhh, I love f*cking over people who try to f*ck me over.

I walked out with the frickin' HDD for $86.59 including tax. Not bad I guess.

got mine... seattle has em... they have been drop shipping to stores via ingram micro to fill this deal. (friend is a mgr at a store localy) Apparently it's hot in retail just with the 10 $ Instant and 30 mail in... Buddy at OD says they have sold 2 lots of 20 already since Sunday. I ordered mine online and had it shipped. I can always go into an office depot B&M to get a printed receipt if i need to. They are pretty good about that.

I went to the Dublin OD today ( 8/20 ) at about 9 am and they were all out.. You must of gotten in there earlier hehe.. Anyways I showed an older Gent there my online printout of the shopping cart w/ the 20$ coupon and he said that they would honor it... You must of ran into the wrong dude.. OD had the nerve to deliver me a used/open boxed hd :| Box wasn't shrinkwrapped and the anti-static plastic was ripped open and thrown in the box.

Called OD and was told someone would call me within 2 hours, never happened. I called back and got a csr who was very helpful. She didn't understand why the other csr's didn't just order me another drive. She processed a backorder for a new one, applied the original $20 coupon plus and add'l $10 for my troubles. My new order status shows $59.99. All I'll pay is tax in the end.

this deal got even better! I was able to snag one at a san francisco OD. Showed them a printout of an online order reflecting the $20 off $70. The cashier was confused because there was no coupon code to enter. She called the store manager ans the manager was cool about it, she just said take $20 off.

When the reciept printed out, there was a free $5 off $5 on next purchase if i called an office depot number to participate in a survey within 48 hours (a coupon code will be given over the phone). I will do that tomorrow.

This is a great if the rebates go through.

One question though, I bought a 60gig maxtor last week from OD which had a rebate promo as well, will i still be eligible for this 40gig Maxtor rebates?

One thing everyone seems to forget is that there is that you can get an extra 2% cut off from the price if you use eBates.

Just go through eBates' link for OD and then remove the coupon they add in. Open a new window and search for the 20 coupon. Once added to your cart, go back to the eBates OD window and order from there to get an extra 2%.
