Looks like the $20 off $75 coupon was not applied in my order. Called the CSR and he transfers me the On-line Web Divison but they are closed for the day. I'll have to call them early tomorrow about this. Still waiting for my drive to be delivered but CSR said that they are back-ordered in my location. Shows in stock on my OD, but cannot add it to a cart.

I may end up faxing them my order confirmation/detail showing the $74.70 ($89.99+4.71 tax - $20 off $75 coupon) I'm supposed to pay them. :frown:

Still no drives for me, yet they were scheduled for delivery today? Also, the coupons were mysteriously deleted from my order? They claim that they will be added back on to my order when I receive my drives, but I highly doubt it at this point. I think I'm in for a long and hard battle to get this drive for $9.99.

Hey people, I think i am succesful at placing the order for the HDD, and it said that the delivery date/time is thurs 22. As I check the OD site right now, they still haven't send it yet??? Will I recieve this drive on thurs? I am worried now.

well, if it is being delivered by UPS or some other carrier then I would worry, but if Office Depot is doing the acutal delivery of the drive then I wouldn't, for I ordered mines on Sunday, on Monday it was listed at the warehouse and on Tuesday it was put on the truck and delivered that day.

Hmmm I wonder what is up? When I ordered this morning it said 3 day delivery. So it was scheduled for Monday 8/26 delivery. Now under order status it says "On Truck" delivery 8/22. I wonder if it really will come tomorrow or will I be wasting my time waiting around for it. Also seems odd about them adding the "Non-returnable" notation to the item. What's up with that?

Huh???? Maybe they're expecting people to buy the drives, get the MIRs, and return the drives?

ugh, this deal is just p*ssing me off. First I tried at 6 AM - 8:45 AM(and normally I don't get up until noon or so) on the Sunday it started because I would be out of state until Monday afternoon. During the almost 3 hour period time that I tried to place an order, it never went thru. Checking every so often I was able to finally order on Tuesday for 3 day delivery. A bit long of a wait for me, but it a great deal so I don't care much about it. Well, today my order's $20 coupon is taken off and another order is placed with an undetermined time of delivery.

Only one of the two $30 rebates is shown at the OD website. Could someone who was smart enough to save the rebate before it was removed help those of us who didn't make a copy soon enough?

And WHERE are you reading the difference between the "L" and the "J"? Mine just shows a 7200RPM/UltraATA133 with a seek time <8 MS; a kit number of L01J040G. The Maxtor shipping label has "F013010". Huh?

It seems he's realized that no one's going to bite. At the bottom, he explains how to get the drive and for the "good of humanity" he's not going to exploit you.

What happens if I got the HDD with #ST0154000U? Doe that mean I will not receive the rebates? Do I have an older version of the HDD? Need help on this subject so I can hopefully do an exchange with the proper model # HDD for rebates if this is wrong one. And if I can still find a store with one. If UPC numbers are the same does it matter if kit numbers are different?

This is what it says on the side of my Maxtor HDD:

Well, I'm out. After the $20 was taken off my order, I decided this morning to cancel the order instead of relying on a CSR to give me back the $20 later. This is way too much trouble for an HD. Too bad. I was going to put this drive in a computer for my folks-in-law.

That's to bad - I called this morning and checked on my order and the autovoice said it was on hold, I then spoke to a CSR and was told delivery is tomorrow and I had the $20 off, and she faxed me a copy.
We'll see by Saturday.

I have two that I ordered on Mon for 3 day delivery on 8/22. I'll find out tonight when I get home if the drives are there. I checked my OD status this morning and it still says 3 days pending, BUT I still have the 20 off on my website invoice.

This deal is making me nervous. I'm worried the two rebates won't both come back. Double that for the other drive for a friend. Wonder if I should cancel...
