Yeah, decent deal. And I doubt Newegg needs to advertise here. Most of us ATers know about them anyhow.

If it's like the picture you posted, your can change the wiring of the connector easily. Just behind the metal showing on the are little tabs holding the wires in the connector. Lift up the tab with a small screwdriver like the precision or jewelers screwdrivers you can get at Radio Shack, and the wire will pull right out. simple rearrange them to suit your motherboard. I used to have to do the with some audio cables from Compaq that were wired differently when using them with other sound cards. Take a minute or 2 is all.

Stupid thing only works with headers!!! :|
I just got one of these, but the thing that pissed me off about it was that it only had usb headers, no usb plugs. Too bad the maxtor usb 2.0 card I bought here only had an internal plug... So I cut up an extra usb cable (cutting off the plug + few inches of wire,) popped the clips on the apacer header, and soldered the bare wires on to the pins in a way that I could reinsert the pins into the header. (I could have just cut the header off and atached the bare wires, but I wanted to save it for when I wanted to upgrade from my bx board.) After that it works great, soooo much faster than usb 1.1.
All in all, a nice unit, but they should include a usb plug adapter or something for those without the newest mobo's with internal headers. I didn't mind hacking it, but I can't imnagine too many people would.

how new of a mobo does one need? which ones have internal headers?
Looks like this might be a solution, then. But which wire on the apacer plug goes to which wire on the cut-up USB cable? So I cut up an extra usb cable (cutting off the plug + few inches of wire,) popped the clips on the apacer header, and soldered the bare wires on to the pins in a way that I could reinsert the pins into the header.
