i tried returning something to the B&M and they said NO! I had to call OD online and they sent a driver to come and pick it up! (Took him 2 tries). That was dumb. I wonder if they changed their policy?

Definatly a good deal, These things run 79 and up at most every place i've seen. I use adelphia cable and they recently upgraded their service to Docsis and this was one of the modems on their list.

I helped two friends complete this deal locally and both of them got the version 2. It had the same sku as the version 1 modem that I got a month ago. I guess it all depends on what your store has, but in this week's ad, they show a picture of the version 2.


My friend got a really hot deal yesterday. We went into Office Depot with this CompUSA ad showing the Linksys cable modem for $50 after rebate. They matched the price (even the after rebate price ), and then I pulled out the printable $10 off $50, so it was only $40 for the modem.

Looks like this deal is still good to go, but for some reason it won't let me go with in-store pickup because the online store doesn't have any in stock? Kind of confusing ...

But it could also be that my local store is showing they do not have it in stock for online orders, but they most likely do have it in stock in their store. People are weird like that around here .. (in a *mostly* suburbanized area of Texas .. )

Are there any coupons anywhere that I can print out like the $20 off $75+ coupon, so I can just go get this in the store?

I'm going to pick up my modem in the store today.

Actually what happened is this:

Office Depot is showing this item as currently out of stock, so you have to put one on backorder. Well, you can't use the coupon when you put the item on backorder because it shows your order as being $0.00

I tried setting for pick up in my local store and it said that you can't pick up back ordered items.

So, I called my local OD store and asked them if they had any of this item in stock (they had 2), and told them what my situation was: I have an online-use coupon for $25 off $75 and I'm trying to order this item for in-store pickup through your store. It keeps saying that I can't order this item from backorder. So they take my name and number, call me back a few min later and tell me that they'll give me the modem for $25 off, I just gotta go pick it up in the store today.

So this deal is still good! YMMV, but try and call your local OD and you can probably still get it

Just did this deal - in-store pick-up.

Call to reserve the unit and then tell them you tried to place the order on-line, but the modem is out-of-stock and you wish to use the $20 off $75. The manager asked if this was a referral coupon which I replied in the affirmative. The manager asked if I could print out the page with the coupon and the modem. I did this and brought it in. Got the $39.99 A/R with the calculator.

Striclty YMMV, but calling ahead and being reasonable made the deal a go.
