one pro in a Diamond ring is even in Bankruptcy, they can take everything(including the clothes on your back) but not the ingagement ring.


But if you want a diamond that is the BEST then get a man made one. They don't use slave labor and look better then the real thing as they are made under controled conditions. Oh and they are cheaper. The only way anybody can tell a difference(even a Jewler) is hold it under a special light. The man made one makes a different color as it is PERFECT!!! The natural one (i.e. Debers or what ever) is not perfect so the light does not shine through the same.

I think the best way to identify a good diamond fast is to look to see if you can tell where the setting ends and the diamond begins. If you cant see much difference between the diamond and the setting then there isnt much difference . That diamond would be worth about the same amount as the setting that it is in.

I beg to differ on the subject of diamond cutting tools, we manufacture carbon composits that diamond cutting tools will barely cut. Current cutting tool technology is dependant on diamonds and diamond coatings in these industries.

As for the wife, if they like these big stones, so be it.
I like many "toys" also and I would gladly trade some cash for the happiness (or illusion of happiness) for my wife. IMHO
