Super Hot: Syntax Olevia lt32hve < $700 AR

Target.com has this tv on sale for $888. There is a $300 rebate on this TV, but the rebates seem to be store specific (the forms have the store name in them). I can't find a rebate form for Target. However there is a rebate via Amazon, who is selling the TV for Target.


I just bought this thing for $888 + $47 shipping (to MN) + $61 tax = $996 - $300 rebate = $696

Target = 888 - 10% coupon - 9% Citibank Dividend Merchant Network = $719 + tax/shipping. Since this is probably the same as Amazon charges, I would be at $828

Looks like a nice deal if the rebate comes through, which I am not sure it will. Even though you are buying it on amazon it is shiped from and sold by Target. Most likely any invoice you get will be from Target, not from amazon.

I just printed my invoice on Amazon. There is no mention of Target anywhere on the invoice.

Also, overall I agree with you. There seems to be some problems with Syntax honoring rebates. A safer deal would be to buy from Target.com directly, using a readily available 10% off coupon and a Citibank Dividend card (9% cash back at Target.com)

Yeah it really is tempting me, just worried about that rebate.

I also see the LT32HV for the same price but you get free shipping. Anyone know which is better? Looks like LT32HV has more inputs.

Its the same $200 rebate for both.

This is not available locally, and Target.com does not have a rebate. That's why I went to Amazon.

As Yurkinator points out, the rebate is the wildcard here. I am not so concerned about if I have met the requirements as if Syntax will honor the rebate. I have heard tales of people not getting them, or having to wait for a year before they showed up. That is why I think that Target.com is a safer deal.

If I use my tax/shipping info from my Amazon order, and coupons available at Target.com, the TV would cost $828 from Target.com. Basically split the difference on the rebate for a sure thing.

I'm pretty sure the packing slip/invoice that will show up with the TV will show target and not Amazon. You might get away with including the receipt from the Amazon website when you submit your rebate.

Just to make it clear, I think that buying the TV from Target.com is a better deal overall. No rebates is just plain safer.

My course of action is pretty much locked in. I went to Amazon to try and cancel my order but it is already processing. I am going to work with the invoice that I have and hope that everything works out.

LT32HV is the one I have and ALL of my inputs are being used and could use 1 more of each

The lt32hv is the older model. It has been replaced by the lt32hve (by the description has a slightly better display but no HD tuner) and the lt32hvm (by the description has a slightly inferior display, but comes with a hd tuner).

Expect to wait six months for a Syntax rebate. Two of mine took that long almost to the day.

This seems like a great deal!

I've noticed two things about it however. Amazon has three listings for the product, and one has free shipping. It MAY not work with the rebate however.

The "Target" listing
As you can see, this one has free shipping! BUT if you notice the upper right hand corner where it says "ready to buy" it has Target listed above the price.

The "Non-Target" listing
This listing however has NO free shipping, but on the "ready to buy" it doesn't say target, just "Add to Shopping Cart.

Amazon listing
Finally there is the "real" amazon listing here. The price on this one as of posting is $799.99 ($1,099.99 - $300 rebate)

Thought this post might help, but turns out I've just confused myself!!

Your first and third listings are for the LT32HVM, the second listing is for the LT32HVE.

Just checked it out. Amazon is showing it for $899 with a $300 rebate, but they are charging
$99 freight so final would be $699 AR.
