Anyone know if this is indeed a "Y" stepping? Also, my brother received his and he got an AROIA core, which I know is newer, my question is does it have the same OC potential as the older AGOIA cores? Please help me out here experts.

Well my XP1600+ that I received yesterday had a very quick two hour session in my KT7A last nite at standard speed.
I then went out to Walmart and bought one wallpaper knife 87c and on twin-pack of super glue 99c.
Stopped off at Autozone to get a defogger kit - 9.99!!! A bit OTT if u ask me!
It was a useless pen type - would not recommend this at all.
I was there for around 15mins to get the tiniest drop to come out - will be taking it back tonight!
Well anyway - I eventually got the CPU unlocked - it was a lot more work than I expected - especially after being used to the old Pencil trick for the last few years
To cut a very long story of re-boots and no-posts later I eventually got myself up and running at XP2000+ speeds with 1.775v
If only I could get a higher multiplier with the KT7A I'd be happier - Currently using 12.5 x 133FSB
I'll try using 140FSB later this evening
Your CPU is red too??
