right, if you use a long optical drive in the bottom slot, it will reach above the mobo, and could interfere with the ram modules.

i hate really thin cases, but i guess thats the point to this one so i'll live with it for a nice quiet and light case.. i have a steel antec case right now, the older sx600 and its a great case.

but it will be nice to have the front audio ports and lighter weight.. but i hate putting all these expensive parts in a flimsy case...

does it not feel sturdy? it doesnt need to be strong enough to sit on (like my tank sx600) but at least could stand up to a book on top of it LOL.

I wish it was pink and called Super Lan Princess. Then when they change the name to Super Lan Boy due to poor sales, NO ONE would complain about the BOY part of the name.

it's not exactly flimsy, just a bit delicate. The main advantage is the light weight, as it weighs close to a small form factor case (less than 10 pounds), and it's really easy to carry with the included strap. I think that its strength increases after the motherboard is installed, it's designed to be this way. I just put in one optical drive, no floppy and one hard drive, and the whole computer weighed less then 20 pounds - it's a lan party goer dream machine.

So the main selling points (= price premmium) is the light weight and attractive looks. BUT - if you're NOT looking for a light weight carryable case, or if you don't want the side window, then there are other options, which could probably be better,

This plus the 500w maddog (superflower/ttgi) power supply, plus some $1+ part makes it elligable for penny shipping, that makes a pretty good deal

Like it was mentioned here, if you mount the hard drive backwards (with the connectors close to the opposite of the window side), then the cables (pwoer, ide, sata) will be completely hidden from view. Btw, this reminds me of someone who once said that hiding the the cables behind the drive cage is like hiding the dirt under the carpet - what an idiot !

Lately I've bought some Antec cases and all came with power supplies. At first I thought this had a PS too and I was chompin' at the bit. Oh, well. :light::roll:

I agree that one of the main attractions of Antec cases is the inclusion of Antec PSU, which usually makes it a good deal because the PSU alone would cost about $50. But Antec cases which come without PSU, you have carefully consider the price compared to alternative cases to make sure it's a good deal. But here, I guess that $40 for this case is a pretty good deal. Also, this case is quite unique, and there are not too many competing models with these charateristics as far as I know.

I saw this in the ads...I might have to pick one up despite having absolutely no need for one.

Bought one today as well. For those who own it, any issues mounting the SB Audigy LiveDrive 2? Had to take the knobs off because of the solid backing on the door on the current case that this will be replacing.

OP, you need to modify your thread title so that it says CompUSA. If someone does a search for CompUSA, they're not going to see your thread in the results and a repost could result. Yeah, you don't like CompUSA. We get it. Ha ha ha, you substituted Comp with Crap! Wow!

I have learned to control my impulsive purchasing by considering this: for all the stuff I may buy I could trade it all in for one really good performance pc. That's how I stopped buying special combo deals from Fry's. Instead of having a few 'fair' grade computers I'd rather build one new good one.

The spring clip broke off of one of my hdd mounting brackets. Antec answered my email within a couple of hours, then shipped a new bracket the next day via express mail. All I had to do was email them a copy of my invoice. Gotta love a company that takes care of business like that. No hassle freindly service.

The case seemed a little flimsy to me until I mounted all of the hardware. Now it's about as firm as any other.

One big plus with this case is the design with the 120mm fan blowing directly on the hard drives. Any hdds failing in one of these cases isn't going to be due to lack of air movement.

I don't have any hard drive chatter. And I run my system without the side panel. If the fit is a little loose it would be easy enough to tighten up with just a little metal bending. No need to be fooling around with pcs of paper/cardboard or whatever.

Get a PM at CompUSA (unfortunately they only PM 1:1, and you'll only get this if you have a Microcenter B&M in the area), and you get this case for 21.99AR.

What are you smoking, boy?

The case is $69.99 before rebate at CUSA, why on earth price match to a higher amount?
