Superbowl 42: PATS vs. Packers.

The announcers are going to have a field day fellating Brady and Favre all day.
A drinking game that involved drinking everytime Favre or Brady is mentioned in a non play-by-play manner would result in everyone drunk by the end of the first quarter.

If John Madden were to call this game, his head would explode from saying Favre and Brady so much.

I bet the NFL wants Packers vs Patriots. That would be a ratings monster. So many great storylines. Pats chase history vs Farve's resurgance. Rematch of the Superbowl in 1997. Two fantastic quarterbacks, one with all the records vs a kid who will probably break those records someday.

Yup, I forecast ALOT of crappy officiating if the Chargers or Giants put up a good game

Unfortunately I agree ... I was actually concerned the Cowboys game was going to suffer the same fate so the league could get its Cowbays/Packers grudge-match but in the end the officials did a decent job.

I'm pulling for Giants vs Patriots myself but in the big picture its MUCH more important that the games be fair & the team that plays better is allowed to win regardless of the ratings-potential.

The key to beating the Pats is keeping up with them on the scoreboard. I've been saying that since the middle of the year. They put up 7, you've got to put up 7. They kick a field goal. You've GOT to capitalize on it and put up 7.

Given the talent on both sides of the field, both the Pats and Pack measure up nicely. Both have good running games. Both have opportunistic defenses. Both have quality Hall of Fame quarterbacks.

It will be a hell of a Super Bowl. But let's just see what the Pack can do against the Giants first. And what the Bolts can do against the Pats.
