Also anyone else respect Brady even more? Sounds crazy I know but dude hit everyone of his last throws on the money. He can't help it everyone developed a case of the butterfingers.

You could also say that him getting the safety in their first possession also cost them the game. If he had scrambled a bit more or tried to get it close to somebody it wouldn't have resulted in intentional grounding.

I've always respected him, always liked his tenacity and ability, even liked his views on religion and can't argue with this personal life choices as well even if what he did was grimey... that being said I still HATE him!

Yep that very same team. I'm not saying the giants are a bad team. They just didn't have the hype, the stats, or the records of several other NFC teams. By most measurements, they weren't the best of the NFC. They were undoubtedly the best of the NFC is when it counted though.

A little luck doesn't hurt either, or sloppy play by your opponent, Brady getting the grounding call, 12 men negating a fumble recovery, fumbles that your own guy recovers (twice). Still have to give props to the Giant receivers though, they took huge licks all night but held on to the ball and those last drive catches were amazing..

Thats a function of Brady throwing too hard. Brady got the Aaron Rodgers bug. He was too worried about making his passes look pretty by spiraling them instead of throwing something more catchable. All of Eli's passes were soft enough that the receivers couldn't drop them.

They were soft because the Pat's secondary can't really make plays. Seriously, dropping a pass because it was thrown too hard is a horrible excuse. They throw with tight spirals because that makes the catches easier.

Anyone else think Brady seemed kinda wimpy? The first time he got taken down, he was all teary eyed swiveling his arm, oohing and ahhing at his poor shoulder. Meanwhile, Eli was taking hits like a man, getting up and shrugging them off all post season.

I know, he should have caught his own passes too and avoid giving Eli another shot at a winning drive..

Eli is the one that won my respect -- both in the San Fran game and here today. Brady did nothing out of the ordinary tonight.

His vagina does seem to bruise easily.

Also, Giants have a good pass rush. They will hit you hard. The Pats pass rush is, "well, if I get there, I will just do what I need to do to kill the play".

Congrats to the Giants. They took advantage of the Pats mistakes and scored a quick nine. The Pats came back and could have sealed it but didn't have the defense to hold it.

Nobody thought they would have made it to the SB this year but should hopefully be there again next year.

Good or bad. The Pats should have their complete team back next year. They have 2 first round, 2 second round and 2 third round picks and are $20mil under the salary cap.

I predict the Pats will try to get players and staff from one of the New York teams. They've been doing it for decades...

Tell me about it.... I thought it was a miracle they made it to the super bowl. With that secondary, I thought it was miracle that they finished 14-3. What really surprised me was that most teams did not even bother attacking the secondary for the entire game.

Patriots were the hottest team in the league coming into the superbowl. They won 9 straight. Of course, they did have some luck against the Ravens but they were pretty much the best team in the AFC. Too bad the Giants have a knack for winning when everyone bets against them. Tiki Barber, Terry Bradshaw, Elizabeth Warren all said the Giants were going to lose. We won.

she flashed her crotch so many times, I was looking for a pepsi logo down there.

The FCC is probably going to be getting hammered with complaints for the next month. "My poor innocent child saw her crotch when I slow-mo'd the halftime show on my tivo!"

They had a really overrated offense, but they have a horrible secondary. This is coming from a NE fan that has been saying this all season. Come on...the Colts actually played a game against them. If you watched all the games, you would also notice a trend. The Pats offense was only hot for one half the entire season. The same applied to this game. However, instead of one half, it was 1 quarter in the first half and 1 quarter in the second, which I guess you could say is the equivalent to a half. Also, everyone picked the Giants to win. Go check ESPN out, they compiled predictions and the majority were picking the Giants.

Do you feel better about yourself after your attempt to act intellectually superior on an internet forum?

no need to act

its simple strategy, anyone with an average IQ should be able to understand (at least when its explained to them, as I could understand their inability to discover it on their own) that it might actually be advantageous not to score when what you really need is the high score when the clock hits 00:00. And the best way to prevent the other team from scoring is to deny them the chance to move the ball on offense.

Down 2 points and in chip-shot 3 point FG range, I was almost surprised the Giants didn't simply start to kneel the ball down when running a play that tries to advance the ball runs a far greater risk of turning the ball over (just look at the Steelers @ Colts in the divisional round on the road to Superbowl XL where Jerome Bettis fumbled on the goal line and Nick Harper almost ran it back the other way for what would have been the go ahead and likely game winning TD. Or heck, In Superbowl XLIII where the Cardinals where in goal to go situation with seconds to go in the first half and James Harrison picks off Kurt Warner and returns it 100 yards for a TD in what was a least a 10 point swing in a game that ultimately came down to the wire)

But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe you're not stupid, maybe you're just QQing and letting your irrational state cloud your mind.

Not scoring a TD at the end would have been the smart thing to do, but the Patriots were a bit more clever in allowing the TD without making it too obvious - it was clear the Bradshaw was surprised he had that much room to run. It was brilliant all around. If the Patriots were a lesser team not to be smart enough to pull that play and allow the TD to be scored, it wouldn't have been that close of a game anyway
