Dam, that's a bit rash. The man leads you to 5 Superbowls, the two he loses are close games. wtf they want from this guy?
They want him to throw the ball and catch it at the same time... DUH!

I don't get why some Pats fans are so upset really, last year was supposed to be a "rebuilding year" and we made the playoffs, this year with the "worst defense ever" they make the Superbowl and lose a tight game. Not bad really.
this is why I hate the Pats and their fans. Not all are bastard idiots, obviously, but becoming the spoiled whiny children of a once historically awful franchise is quite obnoxious.
Try being a Redskins fan, god damn it!
Analysts for ESPN pronounced the throw as better than the catch - Dilfer, Carter, Johnson. They said, making that "rail" pass with the split second timing required, into cover 2, in just the spot where it can be caught = hardest pass to hit.Like I said, it was still on his fingertips and the receiver had to pull it in. Great lob and grab, not perfect. Credit to Manningham for a spectacular play, both feet in bounds and all. Like you said, Welker choked. Ball was in hand, he couldn't secure it.

I was thinking at that moment Manningham gets MVP just for making that catch and maintaining balance, but of course, as much credit goes to Eli, plus his poise throughout the game.
If only Brady were half the athlete that Eli is.
I had him as borderline elite, but this sealed it for me. If I have a game on the line and a choice of any QB, I think I pick Eli.
I'm not pointing to anyone here on AT, but I think the reason some Pats fans are so upset is because when the Pats were winning SBs, many of their fans trashed and degraded other teams, talked smack about their players (particularly Manning), and acted like jerks for the most part. I can tell you from my own experience that regardless of how the Colts played every week, there were inevitably Pats fans who would come into our forums and talk smack about the Colts and we'd be inundated with "OMG! Brady is GOAT!!!" all the freaking time. I've heard from fans of other teams (even from Jags fans) that Pats fans would do the same to their forums. Many fans are fed up with the Patriots and their fans, and that isn't even considering the spygate scandal.
So now, they've talked themselves into a corner and when things like this happen, those of us who have had to put up with that shit for years take our shots. SB42 was especially gratifying since Pats fans were especially mouthy leading up to that game. So, the guys who talked the most smack are probably the ones who are the most upset because their talk is going to be redirected back at them by all the other people who are fed up with the Pats, and they dread it because "Brady is GOAT!!!" and "Patriots rule!" isn't working anymore.
Also one thing I just thought of, that Superbowl was perfectly officiated in my mind. Gotta give props to the Refs for doing a great job on such a humungous stage.
Gisele Bundchen said:"My husband cannot fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
This is where most people need a dose of reality and realize you're rooting on a bunch of adult millionaires playing a game.
Even more entertaining is that I don't believe many of the Pats fans caught the delicious irony of having Raymond Berry give the trophy to the Giants. Few probably remember that Berry was the coach who took the Pats to their first Super Bowl.
I might still have my "Berry the Bears" t-shirt. :$
He did scramble out of one hands-on sack earlier in the game and then another near sack on the 4th down play they converted in the final drive.
Yeah, damn Branch for not being able to miraculously jump backwards while running full-speed in the other direction to catch Tommy Boy's passes!
I can attest to how much bad Patriots fans make me hate that team, I hate them because of the infamous "tuck" rule BS that started due to Brady, the new rule made after he was injuried, its like how many more special rules are we going to make just around ONE guy? Then you have Spygate, it's pretty easy to hate on them.
HOWEVER, I know a few friends that like them and have been Pats fans for a very long time and as a fan (49er's personally), I know it's rough taking a loss so I try not to rub in loses and more just celebrate wins. It's not good fans fault that bad fans are assholes.
She was probably referring to the pass Hernandez and the one to Welker the pass to Branch was not catchable IMO.
Seems your as bad as any of the crap-talking Pat's fans we've had on here, it chaps your ass that Brady gets more attention than Peyton so you come up with the usual cover story "pats fans are jerks, so it's OK for me to be one too", sorry, doesn't fly, whenever a team has success over a few seasons the "band-wagoners" come around, I saw it when Denver was successful in the late 90's and when Dallas was good and the Steelers, hell they even have "Steeler stores" around here.
Your reference to Brady as "Tommy boy" just proves your hate/jealousy, I don't remember Brady ever dissing a Colt or any other competitor for that matter..
