As odd as it seems coming from me, I will give the Pats some props here. The Giants completely outplayed them most of the first half but yet, they held in and carried a lead into the half.

Unfortunately, I missed the first possession of the second half so I don't know how the Giants stopped them, but I don't care at this point.

Oh look, here is me being a jerk!

All joking aside, I can't bash the Pats too much for losing tonight. The Giants (despite their record) were the better team and the top 3 or 4 teams in the NFC were stronger than the AFC's best. The Pats were not a good team and they were just in the right place at the right time with the AFC being so weak this year.

Damn, I am a real jackass!

Shockingly to Pats fans, though, I don't blame Brady. It was a whole team effort in losing a game the Giants tried to hand them.

And, I will even defend NE's maligned secondary on the Manningham play. They had great position but Eli threw it perfectly and Manningham made a great catch.

Shut this jerk up!

LOL, a friend sent that to me. I bet that's going to go over really well in Boston.

well, they probably paid about $50g to reserve some space for a private party or VIP area or something.

Now you want to criticize them for not being frivolous and just throwing that money away?

Right, the ref's just "invented" the tuck rule right there on the spot, just for Brady, yup, that's what happened. The rule about hitting a QB was already in progress before Brady was injured because of the gruesome leg-job that put Carlson Palmer out for a season, get you facts straight..
Are you just fucking high?

LOLOLOL

"Then a geriatric Lady Gaga impersonator did her halftime show."

I like this part, about how Brady is now cursed vs the Giants:

"Which proves that God hates the New England Patriots like everyone else, because he is jealous of Tom Brady."

:awe:

I was depressed that the Pats didn't win. Sad that Wes Welker dropped that ball. In spite of what Chris Collinsworth said, it wasn't a 100/100 catch, it was tough.

I suppose you have to give Eli credit for accomplishing what Brady couldn't in the final few minutes.

I was 10x as depressed that the 49ers lost. Just sad that guy booted two punt returns, a muff and a fumble. I'm still not convinced that he ever touched that first punt. He denies it, and the visual evidence I saw didn't look convincing, certainly not enough to overturn the original call.

It's not like it was the only time the tuck rule was called. In fact, it was called earlier in the season when the pats had the call go against them.

Except in this case the ball wasn't moving forward anymore, but backwards. So not only a stupid rule, but this case has a * next to it because it's Tom, I get calls to go my way Brady. This is a guy that fists pumps to get a roughing the passer called on him. Ref he TOUCHED me foullllll.

He definitely touched it. Only one angle shows it well, though--but it's definitive when you see it.

Another BS story, Suggs dove at the legs, Brady was pointing it out (like ANY player points out a foul), ref was in the process of throwing the flag anyway. Your whole line of thought that a separate rulebook exists just for Brady is laughable.

NBC makes me so mad!

Dr. Paul won the Superbowl yet NBC keeps calling it for the Giants.

Brady has more than one occasion been seen fist pumping about getting a roughing the passer call like a basketball player taking a flop for a charging call. He's a pansy.

That's a lame analogy. You're comparing someone happy that a call is going their way to someone intentionally embellishing so that a foul is called. Very different things and I'm sure Brady is far far far far from the only pro athlete who enjoys it when his opponent makes a mistake that benefits his own team. I certainly don't begrudge any athlete who does - part of pro sports is being the team that fucks up less.

Happy about a BS call going their way? Sure lets celebrate that.

Get over it dude. Other QBs do it too and receivers do it all the time. When they can't catch the ball, they yell at the ref for not calling PI.
Show me a Superbowl caliber QB doing that over getting inadvertantly TOUCHED.

Are you kidding me? There was that one play 2 seasons ago where some guy tapped Peyton's helmet and he got a roughing the passer call...Just because you have tunnel vision doesn't mean it does not happen.
