Superintendent Left Firearm In Bathroom in Elementary School

The superintendent was using the restroom and took off his weapon before using the toilet. He then forgot it. A third grader found it and correctly left it alone and notified his teacher.

To be 100% safe and make sure there was a random gun in the kids bathroom the teacher sent a second 3rd grader to confirm it was in fact a real weapon.

Unfortunately the article doesn’t state what methods this highly trained 3rd grader went through to confirm it was a real weapon. Instead he apparently left it alone and returned to tell his teacher it looked real.

It took a month before the issue was finally addressed by the school to the parents.

Can’t wait until all teachers and administrators are packing.

Is this a repost of a couple months ago, or is this gonna be the new norm in TX and other tard states?

Most people who dedicate themselves to teaching children for other than financial reasons I would suspect might lean to the liberal viewpoint side of things. That would include, in my also perhaps overwrought imagination, a fear of guns. If the teacher here was so infected with such a fear of guns, or if the bathroom was for males and the teacher was female, I can understand why a child of an opposite sex might have been sent to confirm the presence of a gun. We do not know what the child was told to do by way of verification, but it seems to me that there should be teacher's bathrooms available for adults available for use by a superintendent, whatever that is. An any case the meager details leave a bad taste including the length of time that passed before parental notification.

In a competitive society any weakness or lapse of judgment a person may experience will surely be used against you as a means for others to assert their superiority and put one down. In this way we teach people to fear taking responsibility for their actions. And when the mind becomes obsessed with perfection of action, where any weakness leads to self recrimination, the repression of those feelings lead to what also causes Freudian slips, there is an unconscious need to fuck up to get closer to being conscious of what it is that is eating at our peace of mind. That's the wrong way to heal.

I don't think those states you refer to as 'tard' are actually retarded in any other sense other than that they have not experienced the accelerated rate of evolution of awareness that has happened in other places. I would suggest also that the disparagement of their lackluster evolutionary pace will do nothing but encourage a subculture of pride in their current state of ignorance.

People don't understand how to have the proper Respect for guns, when they think guns are their God given Right. Gun ownership needs to at least be an Earned Privilege.

they probably won't change their minds even if they're dying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Hm, are you thinking of March 2020, when an off duty police officer left a gun in the restroom at a middle school?

Nah, you're probably thinking of October 2022 when a district security guard left one in a high school bathroom.

At least you remembered that it was a school, that narrowed it down from the other guns found in bathrooms in grocery stores or restaurants.

What kind of fucking teacher thinks sending in a kid to double check on a gun was the right thing to do?

it’s Texas. I would not expect a lot of logic behind their decisions.

but if I was a betting person the teacher was the opposite sex and it would have been worse if the teacher went in there

Other parents say they felt the issue was being over-emphasized, even addressing their crowd of fellow parents to reprimand.

“How many of your kids have access to guns in your own home? A bunch of you, including mine. I think it’s a mistake and I think that you pointing fingers at him for doing something like this is wrong,” a parent said to the crowd.

Holy shit these people are fucking nuts. Defending a guy leaving a gun out that kids found.

KTAB spoke with Giovanni Mata, a gun owner and the father of a third-grader involved in the incident, on Friday. According to Mata, a teacher sent his son to check on the gun after another student reported it.

“So the teacher asked another kid, my son… ‘Can you go see if it’s a real gun?’ Why would you send a kid? Why not send someone else?” Mata, who recently moved to the area from Uvalde, said.

So this kid survives Uvalde but is then confronted with a other gun at his next school. Reminds me of the recent University mass shooting where students had been prior present at their high school mass shootings.

This stuff is absolutely insane.

Most of those dumbfuck parents voted for super lax gun laws. Could give zero fucks for them
Those that vote for sane gun laws, I feel bad for them

No kid should have access to a gun at home. I really wish there were real penalties for not securing your guns. This is exactly what people said would happen if we let teachers and staff carry guns at school. Hopefully this guy gets fired and should be charged with child endangerment as well.

We should only have laws that carry the death penalty. Any case that doesn't get tried 10 days after arrest should equate to an acquittal for the defendent and a new death penalty case for the judge and jury.

Got a teach them young’uns about open carry.

In January, the Rising Star Elementary student found the gun and immediately notified a teacher without touching the weapon, superintendent Robby Stuteville told Nexstar’s KTAB. The gun belonged to Stuteville, who said he and the school’s principal open carry on campus.

Well, thankfully, there was a parent there from Uvalde. Apparently, you need someone with the experience of a mass shooting in UVALDE to get some Texans to rub their two brain cells** together in order to create a reaction.

I mean there was never a danger other than the kid shooting himself or others with the gun I left, so what's the big deeeeaaaallll?

These people need to be arrested on the spot.

No one was actually injured - so I guess firing would be the likely course of action. It's Texas, so they prolly won't even have to do mandatory gun safety training, license revocation or anything useful. Sanity appears to only be useful to the sane.

When politicians send Christmas cards with every family member holding an AR-15 including underage kids, it emphasizes that lack of respect. Republicans treat guns like toys or in the case of the men and MTG an extension of their dicks.
