can't get 32M calculation to work higher than 278HTT but can get 1M to work up to 285HTT

That's really nice...where did you purchase your chip?

Thanks, I got the chip from zipzoomfly

cpuz mem? that chip should do 3.0

what do you mean? ive never heard of a winchester going above 2.8ghz stable. if you have, give me a link

3165 on air

Bunch over 3200 with other methods

Thats not very practical, because they are using 1.8v to get to 3GHz. That would shorten the lifespan of your chip by QUITE a lot..right? If it dosn't im going to look into watercooling for sure .

I don't like voltage on A64's so you're asking wrong person. 1.65 max for newcastles and 1.55 max for winchesters (air). The Bartons and tbreds you could pump 2.2 though no problem...but I've heard people killing mem controller with too much A64 volts.

Some of those guys over there are dishonest and have no problem RMAing stuff they break... I won't do that and I want stuff to last...so I keep things cool and low volts

Edit Still Punk should have no problem.. I mean he's already 2850 with only 1.45...give it another 0.1

Those are VERY RARE chips...

Maybe with the improvement of yieldings things getter better.

Right now, "normal" is 2550-2650, many are getting 2700, and some 2800. Period. To get over that some luck is in order and temps like the ones of that guy at 3100...

It's a 2.0GHz Dothan running at 2.0GHz on an AOpem 855 desktop board.

I thought dothan could beat A64's in pi...

Here's what I saw.. 35:22 with 2.0Ghz A64. Albeit with 222HTT with 2-2-2-7 1T but 8 seconds faster???

interesting... are you running win2k? whats mem?

Would you mind running 1M Ralf? Maybe it differs accross tests. From what I've seen Dothan beats 64 at same speed with 1M..

I got 42sec@2.0

1M = 40sec at default speed. Memory is 1GB Mushkin PC3200 Level 2 @ 333Mhz, 2-2-2-5. WinXP sp2.

Definetly odd Ralf. I would have though superpi scaled no matter the iterations used... seems not. Dothan superior at 1M, A64 @32M

Any other Dothan's out there willing to reveal their pi times? Hopefully it's +2.5ghz. I heard it can rival the FX55 in times with good memory. Anyone with the new dothan 915 chipsets?

Something like This

Some tips while running it:

Do a clean reboot, start up SuperPi and then enter TaskManager. Go to the "Processes" tab and end ALL non-essential processes, besides Task Manager and SuperPi. Once you have done that, end explorer.exe and finally end taskmgr.exe. Start the SuperPi run, take a screenshot of it, Hit [ctrl]+[alt]+[del] and under the "Applications" tab click "New Task..." type "explorer", sans quotes. Then hit Ok and it'll start up explorer again. Save your results and then do the above several times until you get a lower time (the times seem to vary with every run).

Thugs are you using the "optimized" p4 superpi?

Those P4 scores are getting up there.

Just one heads up.

The Super Pi benchmark is very memory dependent in quality and quantity.

While on the 1M these two variables sometimes do not accours, when running 32M bench is well seen.
Those who have faster ram will get a better result then the ones with slow memory, and those who have >1GB on the system will notice a much smaller use of the disk than the ones with <1GB ( like me ).
I have very fast ram, but lack the quantity. Althought I can run 1M in only 31seg @2600, I need 30:35 to complete the 32M. Gonna optimize more the system in order to get better result on 32M.

Why not just have people post their system specs? It's pretty much the same thing, unless you suck at optimizing windows...

I get 30:55 with my 3200+ winchester at 2.4GHz. I didn't do anything special like a clean reboot, clear out the processes or anything, though...
