Maybe if it was a sticky
the only way we can start beating their scores is with an FX-55 OC'ed highly.

Better way to check it, is to run a 1M test for instance, and see in the task bar if it uses the two cpu's on it.

I doubt that super pi is SMP aware. Also, could you give us another pic of your system ? because that one doesn't show the total score of the calculations...

You're right, that wasn't all of it. I didn't realize there was more on that chart. When I open up SuperPi again, I get 51m41s for 32M.

Even sadder.

It's not SMP aware. I only get 50% usage when it runs.

My 754 time wasn't very good (compared to some of the 939's), but it's not terrible either.

32min, 16secs

A64 3200+ running 225x11=2475mhz
DFI UT Lanparty NF3-250gb
1gb Mushkin PC3500 Level 2 running 1:1 2-2-2-5

....I will not rest until this system is running 250x10, 1:1 with same tight timings.

Does the amount of RAM affect the performance of this test, or just the quality. And if so, by how big of a margin.

It affect AXP and P4 much more so than A64.

My P4 2.6@3.2 ghz with ram set to 394 (5:4 ratio) did the test in 45m 12s. With ram set to 492 (1:1 ratio), the test was completed in 38m 3 seconds. For a64 the difference should be maybe 1-2 min.

nice, I should drop my a64 score down to 29-30 minutes, does it like tight timings or higher clocked RAM.

Well, thanks for the reply, but didn't really help, the question was whether SuperPi liked tighter timings better, or high RAM frequency.

oh im sorry, didnt read your question right. With A64's tighter timings=better performance all around, not just in superpi. Also make sure 1T is selected, not 2T.

dont listen to the people that say to run at x-x-x-10. all it does is slow your system down, ive ran benchmarks. 2-3-3-7 is pretty nice, run them as tight as possible. make sure you know your rams max volts, ideal timings, etc.

y'all think tightening from 2.5 to 2 cas latency will help at all?

also do you think it's worth it to lower my fsb so that i can run my ram on a higher divider, at probably 210, 215 mhz

I think you need to get rid of half multiplier which cripples A64 performance.

Also is'nt that corsiar BH-5?

Her's what i'd try..

9 x 275

166 mem setting, 2.9 vdimm 2-3-2-7 then 2-2-2-7

or better yet

10 x 250 (maybe up vcore find out if this is stable first at 100 mem setting) then

166 mem setting, 2.9 vdimm 2-3-2-7 then 2-2-2-7

You really should read my OC guide in sig... no excuse to be running your ram like that.
