I had ordered a Promise 4310 and the Superswap 4600, to upgrade my old system, well my old system crashed and burned before the order was even shipped, so I was able to change my order, and got a ASUS P5WDG2 Pro, and cancelled the Promise 4310 controller card. but kept the Superswap 4600. The 4600 is supposed to be connected to the controller card using the SMBuss. My question is, will the 4600 drive enclosure still work, without being hooked up to the Promise controller? It is ok, if the monitor functions do not work. Please help, as I do not know if I should return it.
