Good news,

http://www.ijreview.com/2014/10/195...upposed-develop-23-months-ago-never-happened/

With the exception of independent voters, there was at least a five percentage-point drop in every single demographic category.

Democrats (from 79% to 71%)
Liberals (from 75% to 67%)
Women (from 69% 55%)
Republicans (from 39% to 29%)

This should be common sense, gun control does not reduce violent crime.

Criminals do not care about laws. Society should take the people who mental problems and ensure they receive help.

If democrats and liberals want to reduce violent crime:

1. Open community colleges in low income housing areas. Make attendance mandatory for anyone living in public housing. Provide people on welfare with a clear path out of poverty.

2. Make mental health services free to the public, regardless of income levels. We as a society need to remove the stigma from mental health. If someone has a problem, society as a whole needs to address said problem.

3. End school bullying. Establish a national awareness program to end bullying.

The path is clear, we either address mental health, or we continue to deal with shootings like Sandy hook and Aurora Colorado.

urge to kill....rising! </homer simpson>

but really that isn't surprising. every time it hits the news, people get all up in arms about it, and then it goes back to "normal"

You're in favor of big government socialism now?

When it comes to healthcare, yes, I feel the answer is socialism.

Socialize all hospitals, labs and clinics, in that the government owns those properties.

Hire all nurses and doctors as state employees.

Turn all healthcare industries into not for profit organizations and regulate wages.

And this is all paid for how?

End corporate welfare.

If the federal reserve can pump $85 billion a month into the economy for 6 years, we should have no problem printing enough money to fund healthcare reform.

Doesn't printing more money lead to higher inflation and interest rates?

My economics knowledge is a little rusty...

And don't get me wrong. I agree with some sort of healthcare reform. One thing I can't stand is how Republicans repeatedly say that Obamacare has to go, but yet they never have any kind of plan as to what will replace it.

I just gave you a plan, complete socialization of our healthcare.

All hospitals would government owned.

All nurses and doctors would be government employees.

All medical research would belong to the state and the people.

We would save billions right off the bat by ending profiteering. Take the billions that would go to profit, ceos, board of directors, stock holders,,, etc, and give that money to the people via services.

EDIT

How would we pay for this? End corporate welfare.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/26/us-usa-tax-corporate-idUSBREA1P04Q20140226
Citizens for Tax Justice looked at 288 profitable Fortune 500 companies and said that 26 of them - including Boeing Co (BA.N), General Electric Co (GE.N) and Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N) - paid no federal income tax in the five-year period.

I wasn't saying that you didn't give a plan.

With regard to your plan though, I'm not so sure how enthusiastic I am about it. I don't really think that a socialistic country is what I want the U.S. to be. And if we cross the line where "it's just for healthcare", how long will that last before that approach is taken for other industries?

Another conservatard dullard who thinks that the world is split into two simple categories: "good guys" and "bad guys who will go to any lengths to do bad things that they have premeditatively set their hearts on."

Would Michael Dunn now be sitting in jail for the rest of his life if "visiting a black market dealer to purchase a weapon at huge markup" had been between him and his acting that his White Christian status gave him the natural right to act as judge, jury, and executioner over a group of blacks?

Would a little girl be growing up without her father if Curtis Reeves had needed to find a black market firearms dealer between getting angry over texting and shooting?

Would Easton McDonald's daughter be shot if he had needed to find a black market firearms dealer between his alarm going off and his shooting her in the garage?

Would Charles Vacca be dead if the 9 year old girl had needed to find a black market dealer to sell her the Uzi she used to shoot him in the head?

Would Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield be dead if Eddie Ray Routh hadn't been at a firing range with them surrounded by guns but instead had to find a black market firearms dealer to sell him a weapon?

It is truly sad that you are so full of hate.

You went to all of that effort to list tragedies, while ignoring gang violence in places such as Detroit.

http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/2...during-each-of-the-past-2-weekends-in-detroit

30 shootings in two weekends greatly overshadows your 7 examples.

Again, look at Britain, not particularly socialistic. If anything, it's become *less* socialistic over the past 40 - 50 years. It fits somewhat on the right of most modern social democracies.

That was during the Victorian era of history. That era was made famous for the use of Gray areas...nothing was black and white....

Hey, maybe The Dems and Repubs up on the Hill made a deal where the Dems would lay off of gun control, stop pushing for women's rights to their bodies, stop fighting against voter disenfranchisement/suppression, stop fighting for same sex marriage rights, stop defending Rove vs. Wade, stop fighting for less taxes for the middle class and the poor/more taxes for the rich, giving up on keeping inheritance tax, stop supporting the unions anymore, allowing even more generous tax break loopholes for the rich, getting rid of any of the regulatory agencies the rich don't like and opening all fed lands for drilling.

In trade, the Repubs would let Pres. Obama off the hook on Benghazi.

Seems fair to me. /s

They do get help, they get express passes to buy guns very easily and legally.

Please explain these "express passes", because I would like to have one.

Having to provide id and going through a background check is a pain. I wish gun rights were treated the same as voter rights.
