That's an interesting idea. It would get abused, but that might not be such a bad thing either. As long as there is an ongoing investigation (Mueller),
There can be no nomination!

Trump this, Trump that.
You guys do realize there's an entire political party out there, yes? One with control of the Senate. Whatever happens falls on them.
The names floated so far, and the ones favored to receive the nomination, all have links to Kennedy. It seems Trump secured the retirement by promising to nominate someone that will preserve Kennedy’s legacy. Hardly ideological. Quite practical actually.Correct. The GOP Senate will rubber stamp any right wing ideologue Trump nominates & that will be that.
Yes, quite practical to agree to any "deal" Trump might offer. It's not like he has a history of breaking more deals than he keeps. The names floated so far, and the ones favored to receive the nomination, all have links to Kennedy. I wonder if billions of dollars connect Trump to Kennedy...The names floated so far, and the ones favored to receive the nomination, all have links to Kennedy. If both of Trump's appointees have to recuse themselves for his trial... that gets fascinating. In a sane world this would be a very powerful argument, especially considering it is fairly likely that before this is all over SCOTUS will have to make some sort of ruling that could lead to the president’s impeachment (or worse). Should someone be appointing their own future judge?
I'm more wondering what relative he intends to nominate for SCOTUS. The constitution lays out no rules on who can be a Justice...Justice Barron Trump?I wonder if billions of dollars connect Trump to Kennedy...

They might.I wonder if billions of dollars connect Trump to Kennedy...
I must have missed that in the Constitution. Reference please. As long as there is an ongoing investigation (Mueller),

20 names have been out for 2 years, the other 5 names that were added have been out for a year and a half. No rubber stamp, but full on approval.Correct. The GOP Senate will rubber stamp any right wing ideologue Trump nominates & that will be that.
He's full of shit, there is no reference, only fantasiesI must have missed that in the Constitution. Reference please.
