You should read my link! Retaliation is the only choice. It will result in one of two things:

1) once Republicans see Democrats will hit them back with the same tactics they will behave better or

2) the system will break down entirely.

The thing is it’s not like the Republicans were going to stop doing this if the Democrats played nice, it already paid huge dividends! The only question is if they can be made to see the consequences of their actions and the value of engaging with the opposition in a constructive way.

Kennedy is a conserative but tends to vote down the middle, taking neither side. If he leaves Trump will probably give the job to an extreme conserative who will vote to overturn Roe vs Wade and gay rights. What a sad day if that happens. Decades of advancement could be wiped out.

I'd say there's a 60% chance Kennedy announces his retirement tomorrow. Supposedly, the GOP short list is limited to Kennedy's clerks, but that doesn't mean shit to DJT. He'll nominate whomever he wants, or whichever name the PACs and lobbyists whisper the most.
