By that logic, Hillary should not have been allowed to run while she was under investigation, i.e., the primaries. Oh, silly me, I forget that with some of you, the rules only apply to the other team. See, I'm fair. I still believe in that constitutional thingy about being innocent until proven guilty, i.e., accusation !+ guilt irrespective of who's being accused. It's certainly fine to have beliefs about said guilt or innocence, but whatever. I'm down to about one frayed thread of caring anymore.

Lame comparison is lame.

Oh, what did those investigations yield? In fact, let's take a moment to think about the ethics of those investigations in the first place.

That really the road you want to throw yourself on, dumbnuts?

Also, stop caring. Just fuck off. Clearly you don't give a shit what's happening, so I assume you're bubble is just fine.

Actually, they yielded exactly what the Republicans wanted, which was to taint and paint all kinds of innuendo on Hillary thus planting nothing but negativity toward Hillary to damage her elections prospects. It was a complete success. Does anyone remember any recommendations that came out of that committee that would help to improve the security of embassy's throughout the world, which was supposedly the reason for the hearings although we all know what it was really for.

Accurate comparison was accurate.

As if running for president & nominating SCOTUS judges is the same thing. It's all moot, anyway. Trump will nominate from the list the GOP gave him & McConnell will slam it in right to the short hairs.

The only answer is to vote the bastards out.

We have been, President in 2016, House in 2010 and Senate in 2014.

Sen Lee seems to be moving to the forefront as Trump's next USSC pick. I couldn't think of anyone more qualified to sit as a Justice. There are a number of others as well, another I am learning more about is Amy Barrett, 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

I am pretty sure he'll pick the guy who loudly said "you cannot indict a sitting President" as his SCOTUS pick...Cavanaugh I believe. Just a hunch...

Actually this might not be as bad as people fear of people look beyond the immediate situation. Roe v. Wade is a huge thing with voters. This isn't good obviously but it is a motivator. If Dems gain significant power then legislation can change things. If a Dem wins the office he or she can pack the courts.

The rumors have been around for awhile but the chances that he or RBG hold out until 2020 are slim. Breyer is up there too. I think I made a thread about this subject recently. If all 3 of them go before 2020 and the blue wave fizzles out I am going to laugh and laugh at all the liberals and independents that thought they had the luxury of being picky about the Democrats' nominee.
I hope this happens too, because it's beyond obvious that peaceful revolution will not overthrow this oligarchy.

Yeh, he endorsed Roy Moore, so it's all good, huh?

As far as I'm concerned, everyone who aided and abetted Clinton's inevitable second loss, can reap the harvest of the seeds they've sown.

Wow... what's a billion dollars between bros?
Seems odd that Kennedy wouldn't recuse himself from some of the cases this year he ruled on... Seems like a pretty strong conflict of interest that was never disclosed either...

The "rabid & diseased" characterization is exactly the kind of Trumpian rhetoric I'm talking about. Donald & Vlad just love you.

Better make a lot of calls to the Dems who aren't doing the campfire thing, well perhaps building the campfires under Pelosi et. al.

Good old Bowie-

I can still hear some pop...popular musics and aftershocks.
See I've been watching a television of um
In the homelands
That's the new homelands and um that's all I can remember
And now they just want me to be quiet
And I think something is going to be horrid.

Well at least to the status quo.

Basically this, he's essentially picking the judge who will help decide his own fate.

Roe repeat would be great for Democrats politically.
With back alley abortions coming back, GOP might as well make this their logo:

I guess I don't understand the point you are trying to make. I simply mentioned 2 names who are clearly judicially qualified but who obviously may not be politically acceptable to some. Where Judge Moore comes into this I fail to see.
