This is amazing.
HERE IS THE LINK
For those of you who don't know ExcaliburPC, they're Abit's official refurb sellers.

Price is lower than Newegg, and you can get a bunch of Abit stuff to boot, including SerialATA to Parallel adapters.

$8.05 is the lowest shipping charge, but... still a great deal.

actually, the 86 dollar proc at newegg is a pally, but the thoroughbred is 98$ shipped making it a tiny bit less than the shipped price from excalibur.

Edit: yes I'm slow...

And, and this is just a guess here, they are running osCommerce for their shopping cart system. That may help you when you try to pull them up in your bookmarks.

When it says it's a tray processor, is that just another way to say that it's OEM and not the retail boxed version?

Thanks

Vac, as noted above several times, you have found a Palomino version of the chip, based on the old 0.18 micron die process.

Sharky's deal relates to the newer 0.13 micron Thoroughbred.

Please let the people giving "better" deals in this thread for a different proc end here!

Good find, SharkyTM!

[edit]drewdogg808, nope, his is a Palomino. If you read the detailed description, you'll note that is says:
Die size: approximately 37.5 million transistors on 128mm2. Manufactured using AMD's state-of-the-art 0.18-micron copper process technology at AMD's Fab 30 wafer fabrication facility in Dresden, Germany.
It's. A. Palomino. [/edit]

Umm... Newegg has this for $98, free shipping. AXDA2100DUT3C = 2100+ Thoroughbred B. The minimum price with shipping from excalibur is $98.55, according to sharky. Abit's official refurbisher or not, Excaliber has zero resellerrating reviews/ratings. How does this beat Newegg again?

I guess it all boils down to 3 questions:

1. How well 0302 overclocks compared to the 0248 that people got from Newegg last week.

2. What date are the TBred B XP2100+ that Newegg have right now.

3. If Newegg has sold out of 0248 (which I'm pretty sure they have) and is selling another date, how well do those overclock. (Newegg might be selling 0302 too, who knows.)

Anyone has answer to any of these questions?

BTW, it seems Pelikan over in another XP2100+ TBred thread mentioned he recently got a TBred B XP2100+ from Newegg that's no good.

Edit: it seems Newegg has 0250 right now. Those are pretty good according to reports at overclockers.com forum.

I just ordered from Newegg last night. I'll let you know the version/date I got as soon as it gets here.

Newegg has begun shipping 0250 ....2 weeks stepping from my 0248 in the week 1 1/2 weeks since I ordered (first day). There are also reports of 1700+ and 1800+ JIUHB 0251's surfacing and doing quite well. There's no point in waiting folks, the date/event that everyone was waiting for has arrived, affordable T-bred B's.....If you wanted one before, waiting now is like waiting for your ice cream to melt.

The only things I would consider compared to Newegg is:

1) Packing/Shipping speed

2) Delivery time/method

3) RMA policy/extended warranty/ease of return/customer service

Of course most know what to expect from Newegg, so ordering elsewhere can be scary. I've had to make 2 major purchases b/c Newegg was overpriced/OOS and ended up extremely pleased (though both had reseller ratings close to 9, Essential Computers and PCMods.)...take a chance, be the first to give em a reseller rating

Update: it seems Newegg is at 0301 now and those are no good:

link

The earlier the better.

If 0301 are no good, I would think 0302 won't be that great either. But that's just my guess.

LoL...you should put a disclaimer in there to read no further than the initial post...the rest of it read like someone held their finger on the "Censor" button too long.

Interesting though...maybe AMD is binning their chips more now that they have the initial order of 2100+'s out the door?

Chiz

Speaking of holding a button too long, don't post a word so long that it screws up the display of the board.

Yeah that's funny. The guy apologized later too.

I think whether 0301 is a good overclocker is still undecided. The guy reporting the results might just have bad luck with his motherboard, heatsink or what not. I guess I scared a lot of people who just ordered from Newegg. Sorry.

i love this forum... great laughs at others expense... j/k

Look, they may not be listed under RRatings, but if Abit trusts them to sell their Refurbs, I trust them.....
