I have an HP ZR30W. While it doesn't have any dead or stuck pixels, there is backlight bleeding in the lower left and right corners. However, it is only noticeable if you are looking at a completely black screen. Furthermore, it is impossible to discern when you sit more than a foot away from it, which is important to me since I watch high definition movies on it from my couch.

Basically, its only distracting in the sense that I explicitly tested for it and know it is there. Playing games or just using the computer for every day stuff I never notice.

I voted for slight bleed, but now I see people mention IPS glow. That's probably what my Dell U2410 and U2312HM have - brighter corners that change with viewing angle. Although that is only visible in very dark scenes.

I have a Yamakasi catleap Q270 and it has some minor bleed in the far bottom left and right corner. After a week I didn't notice it or rather got used to it. Not terrible but if you really try you can see it. If I paid more than $350 I might complain but otherwise it is excellent

Not sure if I should exchange my VH236H for its uniform bleed along the top. Spending more isn't an option right now. Don't wanna get stuck with a worse unit or end up exchanging monitor after monitor.

Its like either I can exchange it and hope for a perfect panel or live with what I have.

I have a Catleap 2B. It has some corner backlight bleed that is noticeable against dark backgrounds. It also has one dead pixel.

But I do have 1440p @ 110hz. So, I can deal

Hey guys, here's a great example of what my bleed pattern looks like >

http://i.imgur.com/gTl09.jpg

Mine looks just like that on the top, but isnt quite as "bright", and has much less on the bottom. Note sure if I should exchange...

Note that I would be getting the same model monitor as I am set on this one for its low input lag and overall quality for gaming.

I'm not quite sure what to do here....

Lower your brightness settings.......

Nope. Samsung T260HD. Kinda expensive at $350, but I'm pretty satisfied with it.

My Dell Inspiron 1520's LCD doesn't have backlight bleed, but blacks on it are pretty horrific, so maybe I just don't notice it....

Hmm, I assumed "LCD bleed" was excess light coming out of the sides of a possibly improperly aligned front of a screen and voted No. After I googled it, I would class it as "an inconsistently bright display", to which the answer is still "No" Bleed is the wrong word IMO as it suggests something coming out the boundaries of something.

Iiyama E2208HDS. My previous monitor, a second-hand LG Flatron 17" did have that problem intermittently IIRC.

The only criticism I would level at my current monitor is the gloss border - I get a slight reflection of screen content onto the border which is a little disconcerting.

No noticeable bleed on my BenQ XL2420T, my Dell 3007 WFP-HC is lighter at the edges for sure but it's not very strong, the backlight in that monitor is insane, when you have the brightness all the way up the heat coming off the front is very noticeable.

None at all on my Dell U2412m. It wasn't cheap so I tested the heck out of it when I first got it to make sure everything was spot on.

Hmmm, I'm guessing the backlight bleed on the PA248Q isn't that bad? I was trying to do some research on it, and I noticed quite a number of people mentioning backlight bleed. I'm considering buying three for eyefinity anyways, and I'm still trying to decide between that and the U2412M. ATM, I'm leaning towards the PA248Q. (It also comes with a DisplayPort cable, unlike the U2412M! D

I am really shocked at all those people who only own one LCD screen.

PC, laptop, tablet, cellphone, TV, GPS... and then there are the control screens on assorted modern electronics....
Those are just the ones I own personally, then there is work laptop and all that good stuff

Not really. Got a Dell 2209WA, moving up to a Dell 2412M soon. Hope that one is just as good in this regard.

Wife has a Samsung 225BW that has a little bit, but not bad. She'll get my Dell when I get the bigger Dell.

My Asus VH236h has it slightly across the top of the screen but you can barely notice it. The screen on my Asus G75 is surprisingly much better with its back light.

yes, some, but I only notice it when the screen is showing a black screen, so it doesn't matter in usage.
