SURVEY: What does one look for in a relationship?

Hi,
I am an engineering student at Purdue University, doing a research project for my English 101 class. My research topic asks the question: What does a woman look for in a man, and what does a man look for in a woman. This involves both physical and personal traits. I have created a short survey that I would ask anyone willing to please take. You may either respond to this forum with your answer, or email me at gkaste@purdue.edu. Come to think of it, the only person I know who goes to Perdue is this a-hole I tutored. He's a freshman and needed a refresher for the math placement test. Actually, he wasn't an a-hole to me but I later found out from other friends this guy was a dick.

In other words I want a pretty good looking girl (doesn't have to be damn fine, but a bit better than average), can't be a lazy tard that can't do anything by herself, and if she wants to get in a relationship than of course she better be damn commited. Isn't this the same for every heterosexual male?

The non-physical qualities of the survey also lack the category of intelligence. Once can have ample quantities of the following traits:

...and still be dumb as a rock, and therefore not good relationship material.

I don't think that this survey makes much sense. Of course all of those things are important to pretty much everybody I know. However, the degree of flexibility in those items is what differentiates one person's preferences from another. Not only do different people have different ideas of beauty etc., but they also have varying tolerances around those ideals. For example, I'm really not even sure what my ideal female body would be like, but I know that I'm attracted to women with very different body types/shapes/sizes. As long as it's not "bad", it's fine by me. I'm very strict about the "bad" vs. "not bad" distinction (in the sense that even though I couldn't exactly define the line for you, I'm dead sure not going to date a girl on the wrong side of that line), but as long as they're in the "not bad" category then a wide amount of variation is acceptable. Capiche?

I think his question is ment to say "how important is the body (whatever type your prefer) to you? So that's basically the same thing, Remember this is an English 101 survey, not a dissertation



He could still make a comparison between genders (although a ranking might have been better to differentiate), it will still be ok. As long as enough women reply.
