Work in a hospital as E.R. R.N., 60K/year base, B.S. in Nursing

I'm a very good nurse & an 10 years ahead of the curve in salary, had a pt offer to beat the crap outta me Sunday, got accused of being a racist Wednsday (wrote up a black employee who takes 55 minute breaks). Moral of the story, friends don't let friends become nurses...

Heya again Descartes, long time no see. Yeah, I remember you... not in actual meeting, but I remember talking with you here and that we shared names and companies.

I hope everything is working out for you (?).

Wow. the salaries are all over the friggin board here. Even young people are making mad money. I can't say I know ANYBODY in canada my age making what a lot of the people here are making (me included if its Canadian $).

mistert Nice. I have a cousin with an engineering degree who is 27 now making a few hundred thousand pounds a year in London. Me jealous! He doesn't flaunt his cash or act arrogant about it at all either. He flies all over europe on the weekends and bought a boxter S with cash earlier this year. Hang in there until you're 30 and you can retire (plus with the stress you'll have to ).

Skoorb,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Even if I had the money to travel on the weekends, I would need to work
I probably average about 80 hours a week. What really stresses me out is not the workload, but the uncertainty of
getting fired if the market keeps going down 1 too many times.

I'm a senior this year, comp sci major, MIS minor, ... and I feel like I know nothing that is hard to attain!

I've co-oped with US Steel, did intranet webpage to turn their forms to paperless - Access, SQL, VB, HTML, litle Javascript.

Took c++, VB, assembly, now taking DB Mgmt, Networking...

I have this fear that I'm not going to find a decent job.... coz I don't have much real world experience.

Anyone wants to tell me otherwise, please PM me.

I guess it's senior anxiety.

I guess there still is a lot of demand for Web Deelopers, since there are more than a few of you making great money doing that. A surprising number of you seem to be involed in restaurant ownership/management, making an excellent living there as well!

Anyone here own a franchise?
