Survivor: China

I havn't watched Survivor since the one in Guatamala, but for some reason it being in China intrigues me.

Anyone else going to tune in?

i'll be watching. it's the only 'reality' gameshow i watch; have done so from the beginning. (i actually missed the very first season finale, the one with the rat and the snake.)

I've only seen the original survivor. I don't plan to watch any of the other ones.

Right now I'm taking an Eastern Asian language and we are studying peasant life as socialism took hold, so it somewhat intrigues me but I frankly didn't know Survivor was still on.

what is the survival premise of the Chinese show? China is rather large.. at least with the other shows you could easily figure out why they would have to 'survive'. You got different island names, the amazon, africa, etc etc... and then there's China.. hmm, kind of wide open eh?

I mean, the Amazon and Africa don't leave you with much to imagine as far as survival goes.. hmm, africa, they are going to be somewhere in the middle of nowhere that requires 'skills' to survive. Amazon, same thing.
China, well, it's a country that's massive. It leaves a lot to the imagination and really doesn't describe the type of environment they are going to have to live in, seeing as it is very diverse across the lands of China.
get what I am trying to say? I hope it was easier to understand this time, tried to fit it in as little words as possible last time but didn't work out.

They'll put one group on China and they'll be called the Mainlanders. The other group will be set in Taiwan and will be called the ROCs. Survivor: China is actually a simulation of what is yet to come.

but... do the ROCs get US weapons and the Mainlanders get stuck with Made-In-China weapons? but bummer, they probably get to import Rusky equipment.

The Mainlanders will of course send faulty toys and destroy the group from the inside. Those crafty Chinese.

I really liked that black guy, he reminded me of the guy from The Green Mile :thumbsup:



I think the losing team should have voted off that chinese chick 'PG' or whatever her name is. She seems next to worthless, and annoying to boot. The dude they booted off was annoying, but at least he had some useful skills.
