They should give everyone a gun+bullets, a knife, and a lunchbox with 1 can of soda and a ham sandwich. First one to cross the amazon basin alive wins.
i was watching it while eating dinner and it doesn't seem all that interesting...i'm not going to even bother taping it (i said i was going to tape survivor and watch friends in the other thread) but i'll watch the end just to see who gets voted off...
debbie was hella bitter after being voted off...haha...she deserves it with that attitude...she thought she was such a hardworker and crap...but no one liked her...here's her final words taken from CBS.com:
<< Well, this was my nightmare: to come here and get voted off first. In retrospect, I don't see anything I could have done to have changed it. I came here, I played hard, I was strong, keen-spirited, worked from the time I got up until the time I went to bed, and all it boiled down to this: one person in the group who's a very free spirit, and speaks her mind about anything and everything, couldn't respect the fact that I hold certain things very personal and private. So I'm leaving and it's been a great experience so far. I certainly wish I could have kept playing the game, but that obviously isn't going to happen now. I feel like a loser getting kicked off first, but I guess I made it this far and that's more than 49,000 plus people did. I'll take that with me, but it hurts. I truly in retrospect think back on it and I don't see what I could do, other than make stuff up to fit in, and go along with the conversations. And I'm not doing that! I'm going home to sleep in a nice warm bed, and I could kill for that. And so goodbye. >>
Regarding the race thing and minorities, people get onto it by answering questions correctly over the phone. They then do a face to face interview if picked from a pool of potential people. Guess ABC needs to change their interviewers...

The show isn't at all about "surviving" out in the wild. Its about "surviving" all the politics, backstabbing, schemeing, alliances, subterfuge, manipulation, and outwitting and systematically eliminating all your opponents. I like it.
but one of the people from survivor this series is from where I live, that colby guy. it was all over our front page newspaper when he was picked. pitiful small town news
