Hello
As a newbe in Linux i have some (small?) trubble with it and hope some can help me out.
I have a gforce3 and ofcurse want to install "real" drivers for it.
With YaST2 i am not able to update anything, not even Suse.
I have downloaded the files from Nvidia (to 8.1) with no problem.
I also tried to get YaST to update from file with no luck.
Q1: Where to put the files when downloading them?
Q2: In the Nvidia release nots installing commands says: $ rpm -ivh NVIDIA_kernel.I386.rpm and $ rpm -ivh NVIDIA_GLX.I386.rpm
Ofcurse my files have slightly diff filname, but they ends .....rpm.part does this matter?
Q3: Is there any tip or instruction how to do this, beeing a newbe (foolproof?)
Excluding this, Suse 8.1 was very easy to install, and works so far very well.......
