they got a buncha laptops... and they're all $500... seems really suspect to me.. but my friend is going to try it out.. deal ends tonight.. i just thought i'd tell you all about it.. i know how you guys are all super-sluths when it comes to shady companies

still... i checked with bbb and they had over 100 complaints. some people never got their orders. others got their ram in like 10 weeks. i would stay away from this company unless you want to take the risk. i remember some people offered to go try and personally pick up the order, since they lived near the company.

The sheer mention of "PayPal" should send alarm bells ringing...any merchant who doesn't their own merchant credit accounts, is, in my opinion, quite shady...

i had a very bad experience with this company. awhile ago i placed an order for a 80gig HD and they immediately
charged my credit card even though the item was not in stock. i waited two weeks for shipment and it never came.

i called their company but they would never return your calls. their excuses were long, lengthy, predictable, and pathetic.
i had to call my credit card company and immediately tell them the item was charged but never sent. i left them a nasty
final phone message and the charge got reversed a day later, approximately 3 weeks after the order was placed.

Let me share my 2cents.
Few months ago(6 or so), because of a post on AT, I place an order for 128MB ram for ~$25. After 2-3 harsh e-mails, they shipped RAM next day air. I also placed an order on 5-Nov-01 for HP Pavilion n5475 $999. After placing order, within 5 days they dropped their price to $500. I sent them e-mail to give price adjustment or cancel my order. They cancelled the order and credited back $999 to my paypal account immediately. Well, the price of $500 is so tempting that I placed order once again and also called them when shall I received the laptop. CSR said after 40 days because of Xmas rush. Well as I don't have to pay until laptop gets shipped, I will wait even 60 days. I would like to mentioned that my CC was not charged but authorizaation was pending. So I don't understand when you guys say that your CC was charged immediately.
You might think am I nuts to place order again. Well well well, I check resellerrating.com and on of the person mentioned that he ordered two laptop and he received it, hence I got tempted. In case if they don't fulfill my order, I have Paypal as well CC to complain to. Hence I would say keep fingers crossed.

Man, this has to be a scam. It is very tempting though. You would have the protection from PayPal (which is debatable) and the protection from your CC company. I am going to look into this. Does anyone know what the Amex Blue policy is on consumer protection? If it is gauranteed, then go for it. Maybe... Man those are sweet deals. Something has to be amiss here...

That just means that over 1000 people have bought from them, it doesn't mean they got their laptops. In addition, Paypal will not offer protection based on the quality of goods received - only of you don't get the merchandise. They could mail you a brick, and as long as they have proof that they shipped it, paypal will do nothing about it.
