For Example: Black Mystique 631 w/ window = $30. after rebate - selling now for $100. at the Egg. Typically SVC shipping is a bit high but I'm sure you'll come out ahead of most other places - I just checked and a silver one nets under $50. shipped to upstate NY (after MIR). You can't beat that with a stick. The Mystique is basically a recent version of the Centurion done up in aluminum that has a door that can be reversed to open left or right. Nice looking box and super cheap for an aluminum case. Below are the links to the three models on special again:

http://www.svc.com/rc-631-kkn1.html - Black, no window.
http://www.svc.com/rc-631-kwn1.html - Black w/ window.
http://www.svc.com/rc-631-ssn1.html - Silver, no window.

They have come other CoolerMaster cases for as low as $15. after MIR. And the new RC-390 with the SATA hot-swap bays for $100. after MIR.

Yate Loon D12SL-12 deal back again - buy 3 or more pay $3.00 each

http://www.svc.com/d12sl-12-bk.html

The AT effect strikes again... SVC is temporarily OOS already. So while they are OOS (or any time, actually), you can buy the black ones from my good buddy at Jab-tech for $3.50 each (3-9 for $3. each, 10+ for $2.80 each)... Or you can get the orange ones for $3.00 at nexfan (may still have $5.00 flat-rate shipping with the CHEAPSHIP code). petrastechshop.com may have a deal too.

Tip: remove off center labels on rotors (the moving fan parts) for even lower vibration/noise but be careful not to damage the bearings while you're at.it..

They also have some new Vastech brand (never heard of 'em myself and I generally avoid companies that play on well-known brands, in this case Vantec, for their name) 80x25mm fans for 99 cents (less in Quantity). IAC, they won't break you incase they turn out to be drek...

More stuff on sale in HSFs, etc.

I'd say the best thing would be the Centurion 5 with a coolermaster 380W for 25AR

I wonder if Coolermaster is having financial troubles. They've had tons of rebates for a while now. Usually that's the sign of a company heading towards bankruptcy (like Soyo)...

Or just offering competitive pricing...

Some good deals there. I'd bite, but I don't need any more junk cluttering up my dorm room

Yate Loon puts labels on both sides of their fans for some reason. I'm suggesting to take the label off of the rotor (moving part) if it is the least bit off center - easy to tell by spinning the blade manually. I just got a Silverstone CFP51 HDD cage and SST had stuck a superfluous label on the rotor of its fan that was substantially off center. I took it off and it felt better (running in my hand) and sounded better - probably better longevity too. So I'm suggesting to remove any off center labels on the moving rotor of any fan unless you know it was done on purpose for a "balance weight" - highly unlikely. I will be removing any that show up here as a matter of course.

MSM,
. Reviews of the 631 have been uniformly good. Being aluminum, it starts at a disadvantage regarding noise, but careful choice of components and a little judicious application of damping materials can neutralize that. Other than that it's the same as other Centurions. Plenty of reviews of them out there.

RM et al.
Yes, that's what I mean. I just did a D12SL for an experiment - the Y-L stickers come off easily (the SST stickers not so easily). The label wasn't much off center but I could feel and hear the difference. IDK if others could as I have a very keen sense of touch developed by feeling for pulse on old people and feeling for veins to draw blood from. Pretty good ears too... As I said above, IDK why they would put a label on the rotor anyway except that many Pac Rim Asians seem to abhor a blank slate (piece of paper, etc.) - bad luck or something. Maybe it's just a case of left vs right hands. The engineers go to great pains creating molds that yield well-balanced rotors and the marketers/PR people go and slap labels wherever - blissfully unaware of the consequences...

I got the black brushed one with window for $25 a couple of months ago. The case looks decent. Black scratches so get the silver if you're worried about that. I have been pretty carful, but have a small scratch on the door already. It is a very light case. The tool-less design works fine, but isn't anything special. It's a medium sized tower so it can get a little cramped, but it holds more than enough for most people. Reversable door is nice so that you can put the case on either side of you. I got it for the top mounted usb, firewire, and sound ports. The 120mm fans are audible on low, but not too loud. I added a rhoebus and unplugged the front. The front lights up blue which I could take or leave. Sound wise it may be the case design, and I'll let you know how much quieter things get with the yate 120mm fans/new silent ps installed. The only thing I don't like about this unit is that I have to open the door for the power/reset. Same as with my old antec 1080's. All in all a better case than most anything you can get at this price right now.

I ordered 3 Yate Loon's from SVC this morning. It didn't say anything about them being OOS, so hopefully they've restocked.
