I just got the 400WATT blue aluminum @ newegg yesterday. damn, $60 for only an additional 50WATTS?

Is this basic/single-fan 350WATT enough for Pentium 4 overclocking? If so, i'm going to cancel my newegg order.

yeah right...svc sucks...their service is nowhere near that of newegg

took me two weeks to receive some rounded cables...ironically enough after waiting a week, i sent them an email to complain and then they finally sent me my shipping confirmation

Newegg is top notch for more pricy items like CPUs and graphics cards. I've never had a problem with SVC but they don't nearly ship as fast as newegg does.

</FONT><B>I will always buy MB's and CPU's from NewEgg because they have approved every RMA I have ever requested from them and made good on all they ever promised me.

I had to RMA a defective 5.25 Multi Adapter Panel from SVC recently. Althought they approved the RMA quickly, the turn around time was too long (like three weeks). They promised to pay my shipping but all they did was throw a 4-pin power supply y-adapter in the box. I did not need anymore 4-pin power supply y-adapters. I would have much prefered to have the money. They do have great deals and low shipping for round cables and other odds and ends.<FONT size=1>

SVC might have cheap cables, and small pc parts, but they have got some serious "delay" problem, for example: i ordered a ps, fan, heatsink...etc on monday, and i got the email for shipping status on thursday night.
for them to compete w/ newegg.... not possible, they don't have enough stuff, and they don't have fast turnaround time either.

Hmmm... No delay on my recent order. Placed an order on Nov 21st
for some rounded cables and a heatsink. Got UPS shipping notice
the next day! Everything arrived as ordered and well packed.

I think you've just been spoiled by newegg's quick service too much, I wouldnt consider 3-4 days processing time as all that unreasonable - and they clearly say that you should allow that amount of time for order processing and stuff. Gotta admit that newegg is damn fast though, but SVC has done well for me too so far.

SVC is in my area, so I can do will call instead of having them ship to me. Last time I went there they didn't have that many employees. With anandtech effect, its not that easy to handle that many order in a short period of time like newegg.

but they do have some cheap stuff though, all coming down to the price. A cent you save is a cent you earn, right?

Submitted order and got confirmatio email Nov 26

Sent an email asking for status on Dec 9

Got an email on Dec 10 saying order has shipped

i accidentally deleted my email confirmation that i received 2 weeks ago. Decided to check which credit card I had used because I hadn't received my cables...transaction never took place.

They aren't the SVC that I remember even from 6 months ago.

I ordered an item on the 8th... it shipped on the 10th and arrive on the 11th... Of all the things I ordered, this one started last and finished first... Other than slow response time picking up their phones, SVC has been good to me.

Someone posted a notice about their cheap rounded cables about a month ago. I ordered 5 along with a case fan. I payed with CC and it got here in a good size box with peanuts and within days. No problems here.

maybe its just the holiday season but i was pretty pissed when my priority mail service took 12 days to reach me, more like ups ground service...i don't think its acceptable for you to place your order on monday and then for it not to ship till the next monday, most likely the item was on backorder and they were short of whatever i had on order...but then again they should tell you that when you are ordering, i got my stuff so they aint bad, but they aint newegg

I could get my stuff from SVC in 15mins, hehehehe 15 mins is all it takes for me to pick up my ordered stuff.

I have 3 18in, 1 24in and a floppy cable from them. They all work great and I have no complaints. They also arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

SVC is the next newegg? Hmmmm, Ive just had them:
1. screw up charging my AMEX
2. Sit on the order a week to ship
3. ship the wrong product
4. refuse to respond/fix

And, to top it off- thy wont answer the phone anymore, "Please email us if you have any problems/questions" Uh-uh, no way. I'll never buy from them again.... And Im in the middle of a CC dispute, BBB report, etc....

yeah, right. if customer service means anything to you, svc is nothing compared to newegg. just hope you don't have to return anything at svc.
