SVC rounded cable blow out

ordered bunch of cables and a pair of SLK-800's Sunday. I hope I get them tomorrow but, I haven't heard anything on my order status yet....

BTW: I bought 2 of the 36" (both clear sheilded.) cables to use on my Plextor CD-RW 16/10/40a and Pioneer 104 DVD-RW. I have a Full size cheiftec and want them in the top bays. They are each on their own channel on the motherboard. Anyone for see a problem with the 36" cables on those?? the plex runs at UDMA33 and the pioneer at UDMA66.

BigEdMuustaffa I received that same error message with ribbon cables, so it's not the fault of the round version. The Promise(Maxtor) ATA/100 card does not like to have CD-ROM/CD-RW/DVD-ROM's attached to it! I went through heck trying to configure my system when attaching anything but hard drives. Sometimes the ATA/100 card would recognize the attached device, so I kept trying Finally gave up and attached my hard drives to it & the other stuff to the onboard IDE's.

I took the cd-rw off the promise card and the only thing on it was the hard drive. I no longer get that error message, but now I get an inconsistent system hang at the windows me start up screen (logo page) . Sometimes the system will boot into the SAFE MODE selection screen (dos) Sometimes the system will start properly. Nothing is ever consistently the same....

Should of listened to the flames! Just received my order from SVC (from another thread), they shipped the wrong product. Now waiting to see how their RMA's are handled. So my first experience with them is not good. Sometimes in my effort to save a buck, I pay dearly in time and inconvience. But my many good experiences keep me looking for the deal.:frown:

I placed an order at the beginning of last month. It took several weeks for the order to be sent because of some out-of-stock items. When the order did arrive, they had it wrong. The light kit and fan I ordered was nice, but the cables and connectors attached to them are just plain shoddy. The power cord on the fan I ordered had the pins backwards and I had to rebuild it.

They've been mostly non-responsive to my inquiries about fixing the order--the one email I did get from them indicated they were going to take care of the situation right away, and that I was a "valued customer." That was last week and they've yet to respond to my follow-up email sent two days ago.

My opinion is that they do not have a good customer service setup. If I don't hear from them by early next week, this one's being taken to the credit card company.

Just received my order, and as you all probably suspect, it is not correct. Ugh.

Let the customer non-support commence!

Someone needs to File a Class Action Law Suit against this Rodeo*!*!*!* There sure seems to be a lot of shadyness going on in here....:disgust:
1,5,10,30 cases thats more than enough to say there is a Majior Problem with this Company for what would appier to be for there own benifit.

See my recent post a bit up for history.

About 2 hours after I posted the comment above, I got a response from them saying that the correct/replacement parts had been shipped. When I got home today, the package was waiting for me.

So, in all fairness, I should clarify a few things. First, although it took them about a week to respond to my initial complaint, they did ship the order correction when they said they would. A follow up email with a tracking number would have prevented any confusion.

Second, they exceeded my expectations with what they sent me. Instead of a replacement power cable for the fan, they sent a whole new fan kit.

I should also state for the record that when I placed my original order, I was aware that at least one item was out of stock. The initial delay in order fulfilllment was expected. However, that obviously doesn't excuse them messing up the order when they shipped it!

I don't think these guys are a shady operation, as suggested in other comments. My gut reaction is that they're probably a very small shop and aren't all that organized. Bottom line is that I'll definitely order from them in the future, especially if their prices continue to remain competitive.

I ordered a fan and CPU cooler from them a couple months ago. The order came fast enough but the fan was the wrong one (I ordered one with LEDs and got a non-LED one). They never responded to the e-mail I sent about it. I just let it go since it was only a $1 or so that I lost...

Well, I just received a fan that SVC had sent me the wrong one (their error). The order date was 11/16/02 today is 12/23/02. They had me ship the wrong one back at my expense I might add. It took them forever to ship the new one to me. I would expect them to at least reimburse me for the shipping at the very least.
