Swallowing broken glass

I think I may have swallowed a small glass fragment the other night. I ordered a beer and took a sip from it, and moments later, felt like I had something in my throat. Looking at the glass, I saw that it was cracked and a very small fragment was missing. Now that was two days ago and I'm still getting the feeling that something is in my throat. It doesn't hurt and no blood is comming out when I spit. Will my body just naturally breakdown and absorb the fragment or will it pass throgh my system or should I really be worried about this?

Glass is VERY chemically inert. That's what they use to store acids, like (just as an example) hydrochloric acid, which (just as a side note) is the same type of acid found in your stomach.

Or you could just get health insurance "Just in case", then go to the doctor the next day. "what are the odds?" you could tell the insurer.

The feeling like there is something still in your throat is just the scratch the shard made going down the throat. It will go away in under a week.
