I recently started this up again after not playing past the garage level.

I notice when you have the AI officers open, gas/bang, clear, they don't wait long enough for the full effect to take hold on the room.

It really ticks me off that sometimes in what should have been an easy clear ruins the entire level (which I can't even save bah!)
when 2 officers go down because the suspects aren't choking/blind yet.

ah yes that always annoyed me, especially considering the games AI is otherwise great, also hated how sometimes they'd open the door and drop the damn gas like 1 inch in. I need to install that SSF mod and fire it back up

lol I remember I used to clear a room, handcuff a guy in the room, and then order my officers to sweep the next room. Once they were all out of the room, it was one to the back of the head of the baddie... and it was fine cause nobody saw it lol.

I'm about to quit this game again...I hit yet another damn wall playing the same level over 20 times. I wasted a few hours each trying the crazy wacko cult in the apt building over two days.

It's always a little thing. I get to a last room to clear and either the AI sucks so bad (they absolutely MUST get in the way once bullets start flying; they cross open doorways with suspect firing from inside, etc), or the stupid shoot-from-the-hip and never miss head-shot you dead in one shot suspect AI.

I really hate that one room that is two-tiered. I wedge both top and bottom doors to keep more from hiding in there or any escaping, but when I clear from the top room, and only tell SWAT to deploy and not rush in, they still get slaughtered standing in the open doorway. You can't tell them to back off and fall in while under fire or deploy CS which WOULD HELP!!! arrrrgh!

I installed that ssf mod and I read someone's post elsewhere about how it got so easy for them since they could see suspects draw their weapons much slower. I experienced that too. There needs to be a midway balance.

Yes, SSF mod is way too easy.

So easy that it's better to order your AI mates to open and clear rather than deploy and clear because they won't wait by the door.

It's a shame that Swat 4 is the only recent game out that uses these types of tactics. If you've played Rainbow six raven shield, this game is 100 times better than that ubisoft crap.

I use this tactic sometimes, but it's not genuine. Order your mates to stack up and then open the door your self. If nothing happens then order then to bang and clear. They do pretty decent this way.
